The city of Almad is well-known throughout the country and the world due to its highly efficient Hero's Council, a large organization of superpowered people dedicated to the safety and protection of the city. These are the most respected and revered people in the city, and count for the city's form of government. Almost as notorious is the opposing force, a dangerous group of individuals collectively referred to as The Selection–stealthy, powerful people who seem dead-set on taking down the Hero's Council. The public holds no shaming in calling them what they are–villains. Between the two forces are vigilantes, who prefer to work silently and alone, not wishing to be associated with either group.
Characters A and B are coworkers in a small coffeeshop on the south side of the city. Both get along quite well and share enough about their lives to each other that neither suspects anything major happening in the others' life. What they don't tell each other is another story: Character A is the child of the Hero's Council's top-ranking hero, but is hesitant to tell people because they fear it will mean they will only be associated with their parent and not as their own person. Their parent keeps urging them to join the Hero's Council Training Program, but Character A won't do it without a good reason to.
Character B, meanwhile, is The Selection's newest and youngest member. It's difficult for them to balance a social life and a night life as secretive as theirs, but if the truth of their identity gets out, it's over–they'll be thrown in Hell's Gate Prison with no chance of getting out again. They have never turned down a Selection job, truly believing they are doing good by taking down the Hero's Council and trying to establish a new form of government for the city. Both Character A and B have reasons for their secrets, but something is bound to implode soon…

- Romance is what we're gearing for here, but I am going to request no explicit scenes, just for my sake.
- I have no triggers, but please let me know if you have any so we can avoid those topics! (Cursing, blood, and descriptions of violence will be prominent)
- Playing other characters is totally fine as long as they're communicating with your muse (ex. putting in parents, friends, other heroes/villains)

Name: Keiryn Bowen
Age: 21
Sexuality: queer, doesn't like to define himself although knows he has a male lean
Appearance: Keiryn stands at around 6'2. He is a tall man with a pale complexion, almost ghostly so, from the way he looks. He has bright blue eyes, a pale blue that stems out into a darker, more ocean blue as they get to the ring of the iris. He has sharp features, a defined jawline, strong nose and cheeks. He has dark, thick eyelashes and eyebrows to match that give him that naturally sultry, typically handsome type man. Dark black hair with soft curls and waves. He has a scar on both his cheeks, two little cuts, and an eyebrow and snake lip piercings. He has a natural scowl and frown. Keiryn has hard skin with lots of callouses and scars - SH scars down his wrists and arms along with many others across his back for the most part, he’s clearly someone who likes to get into trouble. He has a large tattoo down his spine with the seven planets in order from the sun, with lines and geometric patterns expanding from them and around them. He has similar designs down his biceps only these are florals, mostly. With dragons and skulls of animals of all kinds mixed in.
Personality: Kei is your classic bad boy. He is hard, down to business, loves violence, crime, anything of the sort. Very rough, very hard exterior. Doesn't like bullshit, doesn't really like people most of the time but what can you do about that. Quick tempered. Underneath all that is a man who just wants to love and be loved. As much as he enjoys violence and crime and blood etc etc he really just wants to be hugged and cuddled and held for a good long time. Told that he is worth it and good and loved - because my man has some MAJOR insecurities and issues. Suffers from sever mental health issues but is seeing a therapist and is on medication. When you really get to know him he’s not as hard and rough as he seems, definitely a softie under it all.
Powers: Dark/Shadow manipulation with a minor focus on psychic/illusion manipulation
Aesthetic: dark, grungy, lots of reds, blacks and whites, chains, lots of rings so on and so forth

Occupation: Barista at the coffee shop along with working for The Selection. Is contemplating studying but currently has no time.

Quirks/ impulses: taps his fingers together constantly - usually in a pattern of whatever song is in his head, crackles his knuckles, always running a hand through his hair when he’s nervous
Other: is a frequent lover of an underground network involved in betting and fighting - is usually partaking in the fighting and that was where The Selection found him. Abusive family past consisting of his dad and step mum, only child.

Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Percy is tall and willowy, with light tan skin and freckles all over his face, neck, and arms. He has dark green eyes, reminiscent of spring leaves. His features are soft, and he has light brown hair in thick, wavy curls. He wears round, silver glasses and small silver studs in his ears. His expression is naturally open, with an almost constant smile on his face. His scars are mostly on the palms of his hands, from burns while working in the kitchen, and a large, noticeable scar on his right cheek from his first excursion with his powers. His fashion sense is absolutely atrocious - bright colors that often clash and mismatched socks, like he never pays attention to what he throws on. He has a certain eyesore of a windbreaker - bright purpler and green - that he is particularly fond of and wears everywhere.
Personality: Percy is typically perceived to be a ray of sunshine personified, which is not entirely true. He is naturally positive, easily excitable, and a little forgetful, but he struggles with his own problems, namely a major feeling of impostor syndrome - he often feels he doesn't belong anywhere he tries to insert himself, due to his parentage. He isn't comfortable with the other heroes because of his father's notoriety, and he doesn't fit in with the public because he wasn't raised as a normal child. He's a hopeless romantic at heart, always willing to listen to stories and often falling hard before he knows what he's doing. All of this softness does not mean he's a pushover - he stands his ground quite well and is well-known for being a stubborn ass at times. Generally, he's a happy person, if a little nervous and shy.
Powers: Wind Manipulation
