hey y'all dear nerds! i've decided there are nowhere near enough sapphic (wlw) rps on this site, so i'm opening one right now! i'd love to do it in the form of letters back and forth between two girls, maybe who met while on vacation but actually live in different countries? let me know right away if you're interested. can't wait! <3

name:
age: (around 16ish i'm thinking, but feel free to elaborate?)
gender n' sexuality:
appearance n' clothing:
personality: (do not forget flaws :)
background: (including country of origin and family info)
(I'm sorry I saw your question so late! Also, I'm gonna post my character a bit late so can you post your character first?)
(that's alright)
(and yeah, ill just use the one i have for the other rp)
name: Maya Lyrie
age: 17
gender n' sexuality: female, les
appearance n' clothing: uhhh idk if you'll be able to see these, but for general appearance/general clothing: https://pin.it/55Q7Zil kinda has this look on her face when she's tired: https://pin.it/7dvvAXm and as for other clothing possibilities, https://pin.it/3jC3Yba, https://pin.it/54i6DYg, and https://pin.it/6bXXUWe
personality: Maya likes to think of herself as having a sort of 'badass' personality, although she really is a softie, if she gets close enough to you. unlike felicity, she takes almost everything everyone says seriously, but not to heart. surprisingly, she's one of those 'gamer girls' who spends most of her time tryna play games, but she also really likes to write. although, one of her biggest weaknesses is that she tends to always find herself in the middle of arguments, especially with her friends. Maya also somehow has a talent for always being late.
background: born into a family of five in the UK. Maya has two older brothers, (who both live in the same house as her) 18 and 19, and they love to torment her. Her parents generally spend most of their time apart, since her mother has a job requiring her to fly out a lot.
name: Divya Patel
age: Just turned 17
gender n' sexuality: Female and Gay™
appearance n' clothing: She's around 5'7, along with straight hair that's just below her shoulders. She has light brown eyes that look golden under direct light, and pale skin with a golden undertone. She also has a nose ring and a standard lobe piercing.
personality: Divya is the type of person you wouldn't notice at first, mainly because of her family but also because of her personality. She's a rather quiet girl who keeps to herself, who can kick ass, to say the least. She's learned to be nice first, and hold her tongue.
background: Divya has a humongous family, just like every other Indian. But, the thing was, she was the only girl in her family, basically making her invisible to her grandparents, and a burden to her parents. Everyone in her family wanted her to get married and cared more about her brothers than her.
(Is she okay? And I'm sorry I took so long, I made her up on the spot!)
(OOoooooo I love her! And that's fie, I did the same for Maya, tbh aha)
Alrighty, so if you're ready to start we can go ahead and start whenever!
(Alrighty, should we say they had met before or something?)
(I would say that they have briefly conversed online, but still don't know much about each other.)
(Okay then, I was thinking Divya might end up going to college in a foreign place because she hates her family, and maybe they end up going to the same college?)
(Okay, but how would they like, separate then?)
(Wait, I meant they start writing letters to each other and Divya realizes her college is close to Maya n' stuff? I don't know lol)
(lol i dont know either)
(maybe they like, attend a camp or smth while on vacation and bond over having too many family members or smth?)
(Sure, sounds great! Also, just wondering, why did you want to rp with me?)
(hm? oh- you were one of the other people who wanted to do the prompt- so if i was gonna reuse the prompt, yknow- there's people who'll do it, why not let them get a second chance, you get the gist?)
(Okay then, shall we get started then?)
(Uh, sure! What kind of camp, though? And if you're okay with waiting till the next day, I won't be able to get a starter up today, since I seem to be running pretty low on 'out of nowhere' creativity, as I like to call it. Unless you'd like to start, of course, then I'm fine with that too)
(I honestly don't know about the camp and take your time writing the starter! I'm really busy and won't be able to get on until tomorrow too)
(alright then ima just skip over the actual being at camp part)
Maya turned her backpack upside down, dumping its contents out onto the floor of her room. It had been the one she used for vacation, but now she needed to reuse it for the upcoming school year. A piece of paper which had gold flecks on the back caught her eye. Suddenly she remembered, there was that Indian girl she'd met while on vacation. She seemed nice enough, so they had exchanged addresses for a penpal possibility. Picking it up, she started to draft a letter.
Dear Divya,
Hello! My name is Maya, as you may or may not remember. I am 17 years old, very gay and uh, I guess I like games, and friends. I have two really annoying older brothers. If these letters take a long time to reach you, I would blame my brothers haha. Anyways, I'm not very good at letter writing, so I suppose I'll end this here.
Regards,
Maya Lyrie
(Lmao okay then)
Divya had been collecting the mail for days, wondering if the girl she met at camp would ever write back. She was collecting the mail as usual until she saw a letter with a weird stamp on it, picking it up and wondering where it could be from. After a few moments, she realized it was from the girl and hid the letter in her clothes before passing out the newspapers to everyone in her family, forcing a smile onto her face. The moment she was done, she speed walked to her room and read the letter with a huge smile on her face.
Dear Maya,
I almost thought you forgot about me, and of course I remember you! Well, I'm Divya, I turned 17 a week ago, and also very gay. But of course, no one in my family knows, and I'm planning on keeping it that way, for now. Anyway, I also have a lot of brothers! And all of them are so full of themselves, I feel like slapping them sometimes.
I don't know what more to write, so I guess I'll end this here?
Sincerely,
Divya Patel
(i'm just gonna skip over when maya recieves the letter bc i have no creativity at all)
Dear Divya,
Ahhhh, I'm sorry about that! And oof, I feel you big time. I think we're supposed to ask each other questions?? I'm not quite sure, but I guess I'll start them off. So here goes.
- How are you?
- Favorite color?
- What are your hobbies?
Regards,
Maya Lyrie
(Oof, I can relate)
Divya was filled with excitement when she got Maya's letter, glad she had something to look forward to in her life. She was also glad no one in her family had become suspicious on her as she raced up the stairs.
Dear Maya,
It's fine, and I'm glad we have things in common. I'm just going to answer the questions.
-
I'm fine, for now. I don't know what to say oof
-
Ummm, probably red or purple
-
I don't have that many hobbies, but drawing??? I don't know. Maybe cooking also counts? But it's not something I particularly like to do. Whatever
Sincerely,
Divya Patel
(Hey, I'm alive. I swear I have our other rp on a todo list for when I have inspiration.)
(Also, I suppose I'll just put this in modern-day time but with no coronavirus aha)
Dear Divya,
Alrighty! It's good to hear that you're doing alright, and neither do I, to be honest haha. And that's cool! Do you have a favorite animal? Maybe I can use my terrible drawing skills to draw you out something!
Oooo you draw as well? That's cool! I mean, I wouldn't say cooking is exactly a hobby of yours since you mentioned that it's not something you enjoy doing. Although, it is a good skill to have. :)
So, things to say. Yes. Um, I enjoy writing and video games, although I'm not very good at either haha. I like to watch Studio Ghibli movies and the horror genre is something I also really enjoy! Sorry, that was badly worded. Oh well, I hope it gets the point across.
Anyways, now that I have officially run out of things to say, I think I'll end this letter here. Hope it reaches you soon! :)
Regards,
Maya Lyrie
