She could feel her consciousness leaving her as black dots spotted her vision, and she figured this might be her last moments alive…which was pretty sad.
As soon as the knife was taken from her she started to pass out, falling to the ground infront of her as she passed out from her leg bleeding still.
It was a straight line that had been oozing blood for a bit, it looked pretty bad with all the blood.
“Oh no-“ Pandi quickly moved to catch the girl in his arms. She was so small, he thought, laying her down on the floor. They quickly tied the towel around her leg.
Meanwhile, Dion had shifted back into a human and set the knife on the table. “I’ll look for medical supplies,” he announced, quickly moving about the kitchen and looking through drawers, cabinets, and shelves.
“Hurry,” Pandi urged, going to grab a rag and soaking it in water so he could begin cleaning the girl’s bloodied leg.
She went limp in pandis arms, being laid softly on the floor. She let out a soft groan as she was set down.
They could probably find something to help with her leg injury in one of the drawers, the place hasn't exacy been raided.
Once he had wrung out the extra water, Pandi went back and started cleaning the girl’s wound. They had practice doing it for Dion before, so he was quick and efficient, but his hands also became covered in blood. Dion found a role of gauze in one of the drawers, and wordlessly tossed it to his brother. Pandi caught it and quickly wrapped up the wound.
They sighed. “Now what do we do?” He asked.
“Well, she’s really scrawny, isn’t she?” Dion observed. “We could make a meal for her. Besides, I’m pretty sure you need to eat a lot after you experience blood loss, right?”
Pandi nodded. “Alright. Uh, I think I can set her on that weird mat kind of thing we saw earlier…” After washing their hands, they picked her up and carried her out of the room.
When pandi was carrying her, she would seem really light. Seeing as she hadn't really eaten much before they came and the bloodless made them weigh Even less.
She was just limp in his arms, the blood stopped bleeding after a while with the gauze wrapped around her leg though it still throbbed in pain.
He set her down on the bed, feeling her forehead just in case and seeing if she would wake up. They took her wrist and felt her pulse. Well, thank goodness she wasn't dead, at least. Pandi sighed, then went back into the kitchen, where Dion was rifling through cabinets and shelves again, and taking out anything viable and edible, which wasn't much.
Dion grimaced, saying as his brother came in, "Seems like it's no wonder she's scrawny. There's not a lot here. Was she running out? Or…?"
Pandi shrugged. "We should talk to her when she wakes up. She's living out here all alone, I assume…"
"Kinda like us," Dion observed.
"Kinda like us," Pandi echoed.
Dion took out a bowl of old, moldy berries and cringed. "Well. In any case, we should probably get some stuff from home or something if we're going make food."
They rubbed their neck. "Yeah… Maybe I could get stuff from home, and you could stay here and watch her, maybe look for food around here?"
"That sounds good to me."
"I want to bring fish."
"Bro, I think you are the only one who's gonna eat it. If I had to guess, she's either a crow or some kind of blackbird, maybe even a starling, so fish is a no go. Wait. Shoot, we only have meat back at home."
"But…. I'm hungry too…"
"Pan! Well, we'll just have to eat together then. Why not? At least find something for us to eat at home then."
Pandi laughed. "Yeah! Eating together would be great! Maybe she won't try to threaten us with a knife again!" He went up and ruffled his hair, then walked up to a window. "I'll be back!" They shifted into an osprey and flew off.
She groaned in sleep, seemingly rolling around as she switched from blank unconsciousness to being simply asleep.
She gasped, breathing heavily before just seemingly relaxing once more. She didn't seem like her dreams were going very well, it wasn't clear how rested she would be when she woke up.
Definitely wouldn't be a good amount.
That's for sure.
She started to cry in her sleep at one point, though she didn't speak in her sleep or lead to anything that night say why she was crying.
Still the tears dripped down her cheeks, warm and sad. She sniffles in her sleep, almost curled up in a ball.
After a while she might have started to stirr.

After Pandi left, Dion sighed. He stopped looking through the kitchen and went to check on the girl. For a minute he started, seeing her rolling around and thinking she would wake up, but it seemed she was still asleep. He quickly left all the same.
Shifting into a goshawk, Dion left the tree castle as well and looked around for fresh berries and seeds. After a small hiccup where he realized he needed a basket, he managed to find one in a kitchen cabinet before returning to the forest floor. When he came back, the basket was filled with blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, almonds, hazelnuts, flaxseeds, and various flower and plant seeds. He set the basket on the table in the kitchen and went to check on the girl again.
He watched her carefully, seeing her stir again. Pandi didn’t seem to be back yet.
(that last sentence seems ominus)
She stirred, rolling around a tad aggressively in her sleep. when Dion walked over to check on her she seemed to be slightly shaking, possibly crying in her sleep.
it's hard to tell if it's from the pain in her leg or from whatever she was dreaming up in her sleep. her leg did look as if some of the blood had seeped through the bandages from all her rolling and squirming around.
she let out a gasp, and jolted up, sitting upright with panic-stricken eyes. she hadn't seemed to notice Dion, and quickly curled up in a ball, shaking.
Dion wanted to reach out to her, but wondered if he would make everything worse. When she jolted upright, he couldn’t help but flinch in surprise. It was at that moment that he heard a noise in the distance, and looked to see his sibling fumbling his way inside, their talons full of meat packages and other things.
“Pan,” he called to him, though careful not to startle the girl. “You might want to get over here.”
“Eh? Oh! Ah, coming,” came the distracted reply. Soon, Pandi was beside Dion, looking concernedly at the shaking girl.
“The wound bled through.” Dion pointed to her leg. “And she’s shaking.”
After nodding a little and studying her, Pandi carefully reached out to touch her shoulder. “Hey, it’s alright. You’re safe, I promise.”
She jumped when she heard pandi entering, and when she felt him touch her she flinched away, almost cowering at his touch.
"p-please don't hurt m-me.." she covered her head as she sat there shaking, she had forgotten about the scenario they had just had from earlier and was still thinking back to her dream.
She seemed much more different then the girl threatening to stab them earlier.
Pandi quickly pulled away. “S— sorry,” he stuttered. “It looks like you saw a ghost.” He glanced at Dion, who shrugged. “Maybe. Could’ve been a nightmare. She was crying, I think.”
“Oh, yeah,” Pandi agreed sadly, turning to stare at the girl.
“Should we wrap her leg again?” Dion asked uncertainly.
“Maybe. She might not let us…” he glanced at their brother again, then back to the girl. “Hey, can we wrap your leg again? And are you hungry? We have food in the kitchen.”
She just took in deep breaths, trying to calm herself down.
your Okay, your okay.
She wiped her eyes, making sure no more tears were gonna come down her face. She hated crying…especially infront of other people.
"Food?' Her head shot up, as she heard that they might have food.
Her stomach growled as she was very hungry…there wasn't really much to eat here so there hadn't been food in her stomach for at least a few days.
"What food?"
“Or maybe it would be better if you just shifted,” Dion muttered, half to himself. “Since your avian form shouldn’t have the injury…”
Meanwhile, Pandi let out a chuckle at the girl’s growling stomach. “We thought we could all eat together! We have nuts and berries and seeds for you, if you like those, and we have fish and rabbit meat for us. I don’t know if you noticed, but we’re raptors. We thought you were some kind of crow or blackbird, but sorry if we’re mistaken!” He kept talking, running their mouth while moving his hands as they spoke. It was something Dion often found annoying, but here he just rolled his eyes and let his brother talk. “You’re just… so small and you’re hair is dark. Again, we don’t mean to assume. We can help you to the kitchen, or you can shift and come with us, and then we can eat.”

She tilted her head at them as she looked between the two of them.
"Shift? I don't know what you think I can do but..I'm not a bird. I don't have…a bird form." She spoke, very confused at whatever they were talking about.
"Though honestly I'm so hungry right now anything sounds good." She put a hand on her neck as she spoke to the two of them. She moved to cautiously get up, though winced and stumbled because of her leg. She leaned against the wall for support.
"Which way is the kitchen..?"
The brothers became confused as well. “What? What do you mean?” Dion asked. “Are you not a bird shifter?”
Pandi moved to steady her, putting an arm around her waist and her arm around his shoulders. “Careful, now. We’ll show you the way.” He was slow as he led her to the kitchen.
She immediately got tense when landing moved to wrap her arm around him and her waist with his arm. She frowned as he helped her to the kitchen and separated from him as soon as physically possible. She took a seat at one of the chairs, moving to see what their was.
“I’m just, a human.” She muttered out, moving to grab at the berries.
Pandi quickly let her go. She seemed to not like the touch. “Oh— sorry,” they said.
The brothers entered the kitchen, Dion sitting in a chair and staring at her as she went for the berry basket. “A human…? Really?” He looked at Pandi, who decided to stand for now.
“But how? Not of humans live here, right? Where did you come from?” They asked. They were both very interested now, not to mention confused. They didn’t start eating yet.

She shoveled berries into her mouth, not chewing them much before she swallowed them.
"I've lived in this castle for as long as I can remember…my..my parents they uhm…" She rubbed her arm, stopping shoving berries in her mouth.
"They got…they got m-murderered..'She dead stared at the table.
The brothers shared glances. More and more, this girl confused them.
“What? When?” Dion asked.
“I’m so sorry. It’s okay, we don’t have parents either,” Pandi said, trying to be of some comfort.
