(You're totally fine, life comes first! Always take care of yourself first. :)
"Yeah, I'm fine." Gold nodded, pretty sure he was lying. Why had he suddenly remembered that battle? Maybe he should wait until solid ground to try to sleep again. Gold stuck to that thought for about three seconds before drowsiness overtook him again. He swayed slightly, then leaned against Kayin. He wouldn't have let this happen in a million years, except that he was too tired to realize what he was doing.
"Alright then," Kayin said, stiffening slightly. She relaxed a little, shifting to accommodate him. "Really, I don't see why you put up such a fuss about this."
Gold sighed softly, relaxing further against Kayin. Hmm, this was nice… and thankfully, memories of that war didn't haunt him that time. Dreams of sun-dappled ponds and warm afternoons danced through his head instead.
Kayin flushed a little, unused to being close to someone. He put a light hand on Gold's shoulder.
Like before, Gold didn't fall all the way asleep. He felt a slight pressure on his shoulder, but in his dreamy state, he just assumed it was Lekin. A soft hum escaped his lips.
