(morning/reaching other planet to get SherbTM 2.0?)
(Let’s do sherb 2.0)
(K. You start with Sherry.)
(It’s your turn ignorant one)
(Fine, fine)
Adira was, once again, splayed out on the nose floor, dying of boredom. She was officially burning out, even utilizing lines such as: "How much longerrr?" and "There's nothing to dooo."
Maverick, on the completely opposite side of the spectrum, hummed a jolly tune whilst prancing around. "Sherb 2.0," he sang (which in and of itself is disturbing: Maverick singing). "We're so clOoOsee… to redeEm… YOUR DOWNFALL!!" This last note was belted on a completely different key that the rest- well, every note was out of tune, anyway. It was like jazz. lowkey taking a jab at jazz
Desi was watching this 'show' with mirth dancing in her eyes. "It seems my positivity is infectious," she complimented.
P.J had taken helm of the ship and was flying it at a leisurely pace farther away from earth, to a planet she wouldn't say the name of but referred to as "wine world." Sherry was still in his room, and had refused to answer the locked door despite multiple failed attempts.
Quill, as expected, was sitting next to Desi on the couch, neither of them wanting to take a seat and leave the other.
Maverick took P.J's shoulders and shook them in a frenzied and altogether quite crazy motion. "Hurry up!" He cried, still dancing wildly in the craft's nose. After throwing her hissy fit, Adira observed the exchange with amusement. P.J was not one to take orders - especially from Maverick - this she knew.
Desi was absently playing with Quill's hair, twirling and untangling strands. They weren't talking, but their eyes seemed to convey a secret nobody could understand, lost in their own world.
Without taking her eyes away from the bay window, P.J reached behind her and smacked him across the face, smiling smugly to herself.
Frdtyguhgfytduhj Quill tilted his head at Desi, smiling a little.
Though deprived, Maverick was back to his old self, with just the thought of alcohol. "Ooh, feisty. I like it," he said around his throbbing cheek.
Adira rolled herself on the ground - the same way a fish flops when out of the water. Finally she rolly polly-ed herself to Sherry's cabin, anxious to do SOMETHING. Boredom wasn't often experienced as a higher ranking police officer, and now she found herself having no idea how to cope.
Desi patted Quill's head after satisfied with the results before trailing her fingers to his stomach. A question popped in her mind (Was he ticklish?) and with a curious moment of hesitation, her fingers tickled his stomach.
Quill didn't move, raising an eyebrow at her instead and wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "I'm not ticklish, you know."
Adira tried in vain to get Sherry to open the goddamn door. She whistled, knocked, bribed, screamed, whispered death thre- Finally, "Why won't you come ouuuttt?"
Desi visibly pouted, crossing her arms. How was she supposed to have any advantage over him if he wasn't ticklish? She felt this was a very important dilemma.
Sherry threw an small, empty bottle of whiskey at the door, which fell to the ground with a clunk. "Because I'm hungover," He responded angrily, slurring his words.
"Hey, okay, well…I, um…I really like machines. If you leave me with a machine, I'll be chill for a super long time," Quill admitted, running a hand through her hair.
"Wait…" Adira stumbled on her thoughts. "You had alcohol this ENTIRE TIME and you've left Maverick to grind dirt and disintegrate into pure nothingness?" At that moment, Adira could've fallen to her knees and worshiped Sherry for hours on end. Delighted with herself, she swaggered back to the nose, debating the worst possible moment for her to disclose this valuable information with Maverick.
A happy sigh unintentionally passed through Desi's lips at his touch. "Hmm… okay." She mentally reminded herself of this particular trait as she continued trailing her fingers over Quill in soothing, gentle strokes. Simple warm brushes against him to remind him of her presence, that they were together.
