After a moment William gave up on trying to figure out what the strange silhouette was in the distance, and turned to go back to putting the final touches on his snowman. There wasn’t much to be done, though, just a couple edges to be rounded out.

Justine lowered her attention back to her knitting project once William appeared busy again. For the next several minutes all seemed peaceful. The soft crunches of William’s footsteps in the snow, the meditative silence otherwise. At least until another set of footsteps had Justine reeling. Stumbling over towards William, who didn’t seem all that startled compared to his pale-faced nanny.

Salut, sir!” The boy replied with a bright grin, beaming from ear to ear. Justine, near hyperventilating from fright, held onto William’s shoulder. She stood half in front of him, between William and the…some sort of creature before them.

“Who are you?” She demanded through a shaky voice.

"I am no-one, Mademoiselle. But I am looking for a someone, can you help me in finding him? His name is Victor Frankenstein, he is a man of particular… what to say… interest of me." he said, soft accent lilting and flowing, voice quite pretty for how his appearance was. It was one of Victor's particular cruelties to him, one he would not forgive easily.

He looked to William, who didn't seem particularly scared. But then again, he was young, little more than five or six as far as he could tell. He wished he could be back in that state of childlike innocence, but he'd been rushed out of it before he even had a chance to explain himself. He felt a sort of irrational rage, but swallowed it. Victor was the one he wanted to hurt, not this boy.

(I am back with a different account, now. My parents deleted my old ones, sorry. Hi though!)

Justine swallowed her nervousness just enough to find the words to answer. “Victor, yes, w—I know of him.” She was careful not to include William, whose image had apparently captured the creature’s attention. Tucking the boy slightly farther behind her, she glanced back to the man? No. The Beast standing before them. Her bottom lip quivered uncontrollably, even as she tried to hold it still between her teeth. “He isn’t here, though. Are you a friend of his? And can I have your name, if you please?” She went through her questions almost by rote, trained and versed in the chance that a stranger approached William.

William impatiently tugged on Justine’s pant leg, and when she didn’t answer, decided to be helpful. “Oh! I-I know! Victor’s my big brother!” he chirped before Justine could shush him. “His room is beside mine!”

"I have no name, I was never given one." he sat down in one big movement, causing snow to flurry around him for a brief moment, then settle back onto the ground softly. "And he is no friend of mine." he looked away from Justine, eyes wetting with tears for a brief moment before he wiped them aside, looking even more drawn and haggard than before. "I need to know where he is. Now, please." he ignored the boy. So Victor had family, so what? He'd had family too, for the briefest of moments. But they'd cast him out, the moment they thought him a threat. The old man had died as old men tended to do, and they took him as a murderer just because he'd been in the room when it had happened. He didn't want to go back, even if they knew now that he was no threat. The story had been debunked across the news hundreds of times, the autopsy showed no signs of anything but a natural death, and yet the creature still thought that Safie would give him that same look of fear and desperation she had when she'd first seen the man dead.

"Tell me where he is, or I do something I know I'll regret." his eye caught the boy, and for a second there was a cruel glint in it that quickly turned to deep sadness.

(Also Justine is probably like, High Levels of Concern over this, my goodness she puts up with a lot.)

@lavender_ladybug group

(Yeahh she is very Concern lmao, especially not knowing who the creature is or his trauma yet. I just feel so bad for everybody at this point…and I’m guessing it won’t get much better until they become friemds)

Deleted user

(Yeah lol, it'll just be like "what the hell is going on" for basically everyone involved.)

Deleted user

(But legit I do want them to have friemdship except I might give Victor a romantic sub-plot with Henry because reasons.)

Deleted user

(Anyways I'll shut up so we can like, actually roleplay now lol.)

(Honestly Justine needs a pay raise for dealing with this shit lmao.)

@lavender_ladybug group

(Honestly lmao)

Justine’s face went pale at the threat. If she hadn’t already been terrified already she seemed to be now without any shred of doubt. Even to a more powerful scale after the boy’s life was deliberately imperil. “Don’t—don’t even think about touching him.” She positioned herself directly in front of William now, whose friendly smile had ebbed away into concern. Though he didn’t fully understand what the creature had meant, certainly it meant nothing good.

“Justine?” William whimpered and wrapped his hands around his nanny’s arm. He tugged lightly for her attention. “What does the big man mean?”

Justine didn’t answer him, rather shook off his hands and muttered an order to him over her shoulder. William—albeit reluctantly—obeyed, and started off running towards the ridiculously large house. “If you’re going to threat—“ she paused to swallow—“anyone, you—you threaten me not him. Victor isn’t even here, you know.” Her voice lowered into a croak by the end of her last sentence.

"Then take me to Victor, little girl, and I will not burn your residence to the ground. Oui?" he tilted his head at the last word, steering her by the shoulder and then simply picking her up in one strong arm and carrying her off to his truck. He could get back there before the family could even call the police, he knew, if they even was. This woman was clearly a nanny of some sort, she was dispensable. He carried her far, through the woods, then to the other side of the trees to his truck, where he threw her inside and then got in himself, looking comically large for the vehicle but it had a more intimidating look than anything. He started the car and the doors automatically locked, no escape for Justine now. He turned to her. "Where do I drive? Tell me quickly, or I break all the bones in your puny little fingers." it was an empty threat, he had no desire to hurt the woman, but she didn't know that. The only one he wanted to hurt was Victor, and he'd get that soon, would be allowed to indulge his anger oh so soon and oh so sweetly. He'd break every bone in the puny man's body into a thousand small shards, and then leave him to die. He was just… so angry, really. He was so upset and angry and he couldn't control himself at this point, he was going to snap if Justine didn't do something quickly.
