Sylas looked around the corner again, just in time to see the guard double over and Mickey attacking the other one. He stepped out from behind the corner and started towards the guards to help.
"Ha!" Mickey yelled as the two guards fell unconscious. She fixed her hair and then used her glasses to figure out the identities of the guards.
"Nice job." He said calmly, walking to her and looking around, "Is this where we're supposed go?"
Mickey looked through the door with her glasses, then nodded. She walked over to the key pad and unlocked it quickly and without hesitation.
Sylas took his knife out just in case as the door opened, leaning against the wall again with a slightly bored look on his face.
Mickey stared at him before they were due to go in. "What if we don't finished this assignment? What if we get in there only to end up where we started?"
"You worry too much, we'll be fine. Let's just head through this door and if we don't find them then we move on to wherever to check next." He turned to the door without a second glance at her and twirled his knife once.
Mickey took a deep breath, knowing that this mission was close to her heart. Her family had been missing for months, and they'd only just gotten word of where they were.
He opened the unlocked door and stepped inside, keeping to the wall as he looked around.
Empty, as I thought it might be, Mickey said in her thoughts, looking around and investigating the items in the room.
"Find anything?" He whispered quietly to her, heeding a sharp eye on the door for anyone that might come in or close the door on them.
"Not yet. But there's got to be some sort of trigger book or something," She replied softly, inspecting and moving stuff.
He nodded and continued keeping watch and looking around, the knife loosely held in his hand.
She pulled on a book, and a door clicked and unlocked, opening. "Oh, that's so cliche," She laughed softly.
"What do you expect from someone who is kidnapping people?" He shrugged and headed to the secret door, glancing at her.
"I don't know, maybe something more complex. I was kinda hoping it might've been, but no such luck. Ah well."
(hey, so I know this is possibly a personal question… But do you have instagram?
We've been rping with each other for a while, and I think it'd be nice to know you better… And that's kinda hard on notebook
It would be a mutual thing: I'll five you mine if I give you yours
And trust me, I'm really safe online (my mum would literally kill me if I wasn't))
(Sorry, I don't have any social media…my mom won't let me have anything like that at the moment, If I do get it though I'd love to :) )
He nodded, "I suppose it is a little cheesy, using a book as an enerance, bt it's so stupid and obvious that why wouldn't you use it."
(oh that sucks
I only got it like two years ago, and only facebook
I didn't actually have permission and my mum found out because my uncle accidentally spilled, but as long as I'm safe on it she's fine)
"Why would you? If you're running a high classification company or assignment, you want something that's harder to access. You know how many safety precautions the agency has to get into the actual headquarters."
He shrugged again, "Think about it. That's what everyone is going to be expecting, so if you do something simple like that then people will be confused on how to get in. There might be more security in here, I don't know."
"I hope there is," She replied, cracking her knuckles. "My muscles have been aching for a good fight for a while. Training in headquarters doesn't cut it, you know? Especially when I'm in my lab all day."
"I get what you're saying there," Sylas nodded and rolled his neck, heading into the new area, "Let's just figure out who's here or not here."
Mickey looked around the corner for a split second and then came back, thrilled. She grabbed something out of her purse and then placed it on her chest, pressing the button. In a split second, her Indian dress up was replaced with an easier to manoeuver mission suit.
"Ready to go?" He asked, heading into the room and straightening out his suit.
She looked at him as if it was a stupid question. "Of course I'm ready. I'm always ready for a good fight."
He nodded, "Then let's get going." He didn't bother changing into a different suit, he could move just as easily in this one.
