(That happens when I switch devices too…. )
(Yup. It gets sorta annoying after a while.)
Tobias shrugged. "I'm just kicking the ball at the wall… It's nothing exciting." He slammed it again with a swift movement of his leg. "Although it keeps me busy without thinking hardly."
Rashi watched him for awhile, "Still surprising when you think about how much noise it can make to someone who doesn't know what's making it"
Tobias shrugged. “Oh well….” He watched the ball roll to his feet from the wall and sighed. I know he had to go back for whatever reason… but now it’s more like I’m in the way more than ever, although it was never that way in the beginning… He grunted with disappointment and lightly touched the ball with his foot.
Rashi watched him for awhile longer, "Wanna make this a bit more interesting?" he asked.
Tobias glanced over. “How so?” He picked the ball up and kicked it up, balancing it perfectly on his head.
"Can you hit a specific spot on the wall through a crosswind?" asked Rashi.
"….Crosswind?" He cocked his head. "Like with the ball moving through a turbulence?" Tobias kept it perfectly rested on his head. I might be able to…. I suppose I can try.
"Yeah" said Rashi, a slight breeze picking up in the room, seemingly out of nowhere.
The weird gust picked up and he shivered. "This is a bit strange…." The ball fell off his head, but he caught it with his hand. I don't know where I'm supposed to hit it…. Just anywhere?
Rashi summoned a blue aura, sending it to light up a small spot on the wall, wind picking up in front of it. "Can you hit that?"
Tobias saw where Rashi lit the wall, and he thought about all the wind and air resistance stuff. Taking a straight shot would blow it too far off center, and so he kicked it hard enough to reach the other side, and the wind blew it enough just right so that the ball could hit it, but not right on point in the center. Dang nabbit….
"Nice one!" said Rashi, lighting up another spot and changing the wind direction.
Tobias kicked the ball again, but got somehow distracted from his focus and the ball hit the wall feet away from the blue target thing. I can't always be perfect…. He went and picked the ball up with his foot and tried again, hitting it that time.
Rashi changed it again, This time creating a wind vortex over the target.
Tobias didn't really see what Rashi had done, and when he kicked it right at the target….
(What happens, does it get sucked in or propelled away???)
(probably flung in another direction.)
Rashi watched as the ball was flung in another direction this time, bouncing off the opposite wall and heading towards him. Catching it he twirled it on a finger, before grinning and tossing it back to Tobias.
Tobias caught the ball in his left hand and forgot about forgot about kicking it – he pummeled the ball straight at the wall in hopes of it hitting with enough speed to hit the target before it was stopped and whisked away by the vortex.
It bounced back again, and would've hit Tobias in the face if it hadn't been for Rashi. Who immediately enveloped the ball in a silent tornado, causing it to hover over Tobias' head.
Tobias flinched out of reflex, but realized Rashi had used his powers to stop it and hover it over his head. As he reached up to grab it, his hands were moved by the wind as he grabbed it out of the air. He glanced at him and smiled as he bounced it back on his foot.
This beats going to school….
"Wanna try again?" he readjusted the wind strength, hopefully enough to let the ball through this time.
He glanced down and caught the ball in his palm. "I don't know…. I kinda want to do something else… Maybe go for a jog or something…." Tobias sat on the couch. "Yet Megan says it's hard to keep up with me…"
"Skye could probably keep up, and so could I" said Rashi coolly.
"Hm…. Okay…." Tobias said quietly. "Megan says that I could be the fastest human on earth…. Which seems crazy – I mean, I am only a 14-year-old after all…. I still have years ahead of me still…." He set the ball in the basket where it belonged. "But nonetheless, he doesn't exercise, and older people do that just to boost motivation and self esteem and whatnot."
"Who doesn't exercise?" asked Rashi, slightly confused.
