(If it makes sense to.. Ur choice)
(Well then Megan would somewhat be against it… I mean, I don't think I'll change it.. I was just a bit confused as why you said that so straightforwardly.)
(I mentally keep track of details in a story especially piecey ones, So in roleplays if important details like that don't add up it gets weird for me.. Its and irk I have, Sorry if it bugged you…)
(Well it was just random. I didn't intend on it being her father.)
(No worries! It's no issue!)
(Just give me a few min to make lunch for school tomorrow and I'll be right back.)
(Okay)
"N– No, I don't…" Tobias said quietly. Will I be here all by myself then?
Megan sighed. "I don't think there's much you can do anyways… Yet I have a feeling this isn't a thing for you anyhow…" At least I don't think so…
"Probably not…" said Skye "but we could use someone who knows a thing or two about tech along with us. " he said
Rio stood up to try the jacket on, he immediately didn't like it, but he put up with it.
Firiko sighed, "Hey your not the only one who's gonna be bored" he said "After all I can't risk leaving the house"
"That's true…." Tobias muttered, a bit saddened.
"Well, when to we plan to head out…?" Megan finished her coffee and put the mug in the sink. "I can't really stand to let this go stagnant for too long… Something has to happen…"
"We can head out right now" said Skye, "But I warn you we're not starting out the conventional way"
Tobias just watched everything happened, and he began to feel a bit left out, even though Firiko couldn't go with them. A small tear formed on his glass eye.
"Conventional way? What's that?" Megan leaned back on the counter.
"The front door is conventional," said Skye, "The rooftops however, are not" he stood and pulled up his hood, heading for the back door. "You coming Rio?"
Megan was about to leave when she heard Tobias begin to sniffle.
"I don't want you to leave…." He said quietly, holding back tears.
"Tobias, this is for their own good, okay?" She came back to him, putting a warming hand on his back. "They need help getting back, and it could cost everyone in this city if they don't get back quick enough…"
Tobias wiped his eyes with the back of his hands. "B-B-But I can't lose you…"
"Don't worry kiddo," said Rio, "We've all been in worse situations, And there is no way we're gonna let Megan get hurt if things get dicey"
" I promise she won't get hurt, Wolf's honor." said Skye
Megan smiled, rubbing his back. "See…? Nothing will happen to me, and I'll return safe and sound…" I can't promise, though…
"Well, i-if you don't return, th-then…" He stammered, " Wh-who's gonna take care of me?"
It was a question with a vague answer. His father didn't want anything to do with him since he was discarded, and their mother was long gone… And there were no other siblings besides Megan herself.
"That isnt gonna happen!" Said Skye, he understood what the kid was feeling, he'd felt the same way when his mom disappeared. "Listen. You're a smart kid. Nothing and I mean nothing. Is gonna happen to megan while I'm around. Alright?" He gave the kid a pat on the shoulder.
Tobias finished wiping up his tears and he nodded lightly. "O-Okay then…"
Megan stood up. "Remember to behave yourself… And when worse comes to worse, you know how things work…"
He nodded again. "I-I know…"
She turned to Skye. "Well… Are we ready to go? Or do you think you should dye your hair…?" I need to make sure they're as concealed as possible…
"Nah" said Skye leading the way outside "I've tried dyeing it before.. it never works" he said before jumping up on the wall surrounding the yard.
Megan bid a final goodbye to Tobias and although she told him what she had to, when the trio of them were out the door, he began to cry a little again. "There's always that what-if," He mumbled, rubbing his eyes miserably.
"Skye isnt gonna let her get hurt." Said firiko. "He made an honor vow and no one takes those lightly."
Skye balanced on the wall with ease. "Coming?" He asked crouching to lend a hand to megan as Rio scrambled up.
Tobias sighed. "I know he said that… But…. I have no idea how long she's going to be gone… And since you can't go outside, no one's going to be able to walk me to school…." It was a small thing to ask for, but it was important that Tobias had someone– anyone– with him on his way to and from school.
Megan climbed up with the help of Skye's stability. "Thank you," she said lightly, balancing on the wall. I've never done anything like this since I was just a young girl… "So… Where to exactly?" Honestly if I knew I was doing something like this I would've had Tobias braid my hair to get it outta my face.
"Up there" said Skye pointing to the rooftop at the end of the wall. Then he ran along the wall and kept up to the roof landing easily like an acrobat. "Come on! It's easy!" He said waving.
"They wont be more than today Tobias" said Firiko.
"Easy for you to say," Megan muttered, following after him. She clambered up onto the roof with a bit of a struggle. "You know, I haven't done anything like this in ages, so just bear with me…."
Tobias was a bit surprised. "Are you sure??? I… I was thinking that'd take more than just today…." Skye said she'd be unharmed…. But… Who's going to protect her if Skye and Rio are down….?
Skye grinned, "Don't worry!" he said helping her up. "Do this stuff once, and you can do it again!" he then strode off over the rooftop, stopping halfway as he saw Rio hop up, "Are you coming Ocean Prince?" he asked,
"Yeah I'm coming!" called Rio, "Just cause I'm not a land lubber doesn't mean I can't Run on rooftops!"
Megan laughed a little, heaving herself to her feet. “I’m not sure how long I can keep this up… I may be young… but….” This stuff isn’t all what it’s cracked up to be… “I’m not as flexible… If I would’ve known we were doing this, I would’ve put my hair up…”
