Beware the title, someone told me it sounds like a romance RP but this is quite far from it, although it can have hints of romance in it if you want

It can be quite a nerve wracking experience.
One day, you’re on a boat. The next moment, you wake up on an island, your surroundings in ruins, no boat in sight. Only the former remnants of a plane are nearby, but even those seem to be from a long while back, no telling how far back either.

The island seems to be mostly made of thick forest and jungle, with the centre of the island holding an abandoned town.
Worst of all, you seem to be alone. And depending on your background, there’s a chance you won’t make it out here for very long, given that this island doesn’t seem to be very normal.
It’s not abnormal as in ‘dragons and fairies’, it’s more so the giant animals that occasionally roam this island, as well as the animals that you’ve never seen before. Luckily, you’re not even aware of them yet, seeing as you haven’t come across any of them yet, and as far as I’m concerned, you’ve been wandering around alone.

Maybe it’s better to be alone, though. Especially when you encounter a companion. The problem is, this companion doesn’t seem to be in the right state of mind. No telling how long he’s been here, longer than you, though. Maybe he came on that plane. Maybe not.
There’s a lot of maybes.

A RP I wanted to do for some character development for one of my characters (at a later stage of his life.) Plus this idea just seemed interesting to myself.

You, the person joining this RP would be the person arriving on the boat. Your character is mysteriously knocked out and you wake up on the beach, and it doesn’t take long before our characters meet up. It’s kind of a survival esque RP along with the mystery of our characters trying to figure out what happened, though given something happened to my character at one point that made him bonkers. Or maybe your character just wants to leave.

  1. I will be asking for a writing sample, I've got the right to deny or accept you as needed. Have dialogue as well as text.
  2. I would prefer mature RPers for this. Mainly because of possible descriptions of gore and such, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU’RE OKAY WITH THIS BEFORE JOINING.
  3. Ask before joining.
  4. Cursing is allowed.
  5. Violence and blood welcome - there will be a time and place for all of that, though.
  6. For major fights, let's not autohit, but don't dodge everything either (in the event that happens, of course.)
  7. If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to ask.
  8. I would prefer semi-lit into literate RPers. Good grammar is always appreciated.
  9. No one-liners.
  10. I would prefer it be more, but I understand sometimes there isn't much going on, so I only ask that your reply be a minimum of two sentences.
  11. List may or may not change.
  12. Have your character react. Unsure of what to say? Write out their thought process. But also have them actually do things.

(Here's a little bit of something I wrote.)
The first time I saw her she was walking down the halls stone-faced, almost like this was nothing new to her. She had short messy hair the color of midnight without the stars to brighten it up, with bangs that were cut unevenly. Her eyes were a light gray and her body was small and slim. It almost seemed like if you hugged her too tight she would break. So, the question is why is she in a prison made for men only? The guards held her arms tightly behind her back so that she wouldn't try to escape, as if they were scared of her. It was written all over their faces that they were wary of her. Her eyes whipped to the side as she turned her head and made eye contact with me and I snapped out of all my thoughts. Those piercing gray eyes seemed to stun me and everything was in slow motion. Then the craziest thing happened her stone-face turned into a smirk, and not the flirty kind, it was a bit sinister, like she was a spider and I was now stuck in her web.

@Mojack group

Alright. Feel free to submit your character whenever, in the meantime I'll also start working on mine although it could be a while given I've got some work to do right now.

@Mojack group

Either or works fine - for reference, my character I have planned is a heterosexual male, but romance isn't necessary in this so either or works.

GENDER: Female

AGE: 23

APPEARANCE

Height/Weight/Build: 5’6”, ~120, Slim with slight curves.

General Appearance: Turi has light tan skin with some pink undertones, and has mostly soft features. She doesn’t bother styling her unruly brunet hair very often, with the exception of keeping it parted to the side. The puppy-like shape of her steel gray eyes makes her look younger than she is. She also has noticeable freckles scattering her face, collected on her cheeks and nose.

Clothing Style: she usually wears baggy T-shirts with shorts and a baseball cap and tennis shoes

PERSONALITY

Traits: Turi is generally quite reserved in his social life, though because of her kindness people tend to gravitate towards her. Though she mostly likes to be in the background and not the center of attention. Tries her best to stay strong and smile, though it fails sometimes.

Fears: deep water, the dark, being watched or chased down.

Strengths: She's actually extremely athletic and aims to be a par core expert. She was in track and took gymnastics.

Weaknesses: Tends to be paranoid, and has bad anxiety. Her mind plays tricks on her a lot causing her to overreact and shut down sometimes.

Hobbies/Talents: Anything that has to do with physical activities

BACKGROUND

Family^: She was adopted.

Mother: Lisa West (34)

Father: Matthew West (47)

Brother: Damian West (23)

Pets^: A German shepherd/Goldie mix named Ramsey

She has a really bad past from her birth parents and that's where her paranoia and anxiety comes from. I'll reveal it slowly throughout the story.

OTHER^: N/A

Hope she's okay.

@Mojack group

Oh wait- could you make her a little older please? The age range for this is 20-28, so she doesn't need to be that much older, but just to notify you.

Name: Vidan Shundi
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Appearance: 5’11” in height, with a lightly athletic build. Not extremely muscled or anything. From what you can see from his physical features is that he has fair, leaning towards pale skin. For whatever reason, Vidan seems extremely hesitant to show any of his facial features, or even look at himself. Most of his appearance is decided by the clothing he wears; which seems to be stuff suited for the environment on the island (clothing a bit more durable and able to camouflage a bit better in the forests). Rarely leaves any sort of skin exposed. Gloves, boots, pants, jacket (with hood) are all of his style, while he also sports a helmet and mask. His features (hands are lightly calloused) are a bit rougher due to working. Dark green camo can be described as the main colour in his clothing. Hair that he keeps roughly trimmed but it by the back of it it goes down to mid neck on average, being dark brown.
Personality: Vidan was never like ‘this’, it was just a multitude of factors that gave him these ‘traits.’ He’s never been quite inured to the sights on the island, and remains sensitive to seeing certain things (just under the belief he can’t look away.) One might consider Vidan a bit ‘out of orbit’, lack of human contact has to do with that amongst other factors. Living on the island has left him with survival instinct and tactics he needs to deal with, even if he may not be a fan of the things he deals with, Vidan understands the importance of it. Due to lack of human contact (and again, other factors) he’s made ‘friends’ (aka hallucinations) to deal with it. He may be hesitant to step out of routine. Will develop more as time goes on.
Background: Vidan was a bit of a mystery with his background- for all we know, Vidan may not even be his real name. He obviously comes from a background where he had training of some sort- he remembers some of his background, but not all of it. He came to the island as a routinely visit of some sort, the only thing is that something went wrong and obviously the plane he was in went down, leaving only Vidan and no one else. For the longest while, Vidan was alone, but that may be changing soon.
Skills: Survival, knows a fair amount of the wildlife around the island and knows how to get around. Not a professional by any means; keep in mind this is stuff he had to learn by himself. Not good with running fast for long periods of time but if he can keep an even pace, he’s got loads of stamina. Skills in firearms.
Other: Carries a bear (as in the stuffed animal) with him almost at all times in a bag; this was one of the first things he picked up on the island. Nothing else for now.

Would you like me to start first?

@Mojack group

Repeat.

Each day was the same as the last. The days just blended together at this point for Vidan. Sure, he had a routine, but it was more of an order of things he did as opposed to doing things at the 'correct time.' As if he even knew how to tell the time at the moment. The only way he could truly tell time was by looking at the sky. If you see stars and it's dark, it's night. Day time was obvious. Dawn and dusk were as well.
He worked his way out of the town that he knew so much, yet Vidan preferred to stay out of it for certain reasons, only spending the night there if he needed. It was currently day, the sun high in the sky. A little before midday if he had to guess.

With his clothing he blended in well with the environment and even more so with the way he walked. Careful steps, not rushing himself through the trees. There was plenty of foliage as well, shifting aside as he walked. Vidan wasn't aware of anyone around; he'd just assumed that this day would be like any other, and another day spent wandering, exploring. His thoughts briefly passed by the concept of returning to that bunker; but alas, going to that bunker was where things all came crashing down - not literally, of course - and Vidan shook the idea from his mind, preferring not to remember.
For as long as he's been here, even Vidan has not seen the entire island. He's not quite sure how big it is, either. Just big, he decides, stopping by one tree in particular, his gloved hand brushing a small knife stabbed into the bark, quite firmly in it to be exact. Sap, now dried up marks the edges.
So he is heading in the right direction.

One could notice some of the markers, small black knives stuck into trees. It was hard to notice your surroundings in a jungle of trees, which is why he put those knives there. The knives would only lead you from the beach to the city, and that was that. It would be a while before Vidan got to the beach especially at his pace, so he began to move again, not wanting to waste any time.

@Fantasy-Illy!

The first thing Turi noticed is the wetness of her socks. The uncomfortable squishy feeling of it between her toes. Slowly her eyes began to open, though her vision was a bit blurry. Sand stuck to her skin, and the smell of salt filled her nose. Though she was all wet, the sun still burned her skin and the redness of her face, legs and arms were proof that she had definitely been laying there for a while. "Ouch." Every move hurt and she struggled, but there was no way she was going to continue just laying there. Her mind was a bit hazy, so none of this seemed out of the ordinary. The sound of crashing waves was calming and the cool breeze felt nice on her burning skin. Turi moved to the closest tree and sat in the shade. Her mouth was dry, her body begged her for water, but even Turi knew that you can't drink ocean water. "What the hell is going on?" Without wanting and everything telling her not to, her eyes closed and she once again fell asleep.

@Mojack group

Vidan reached the beach, looking around upon leaving the shelter of the trees. There was that plane, still here after all of this time. Nothing left to loot, Vidan had taken what he could long ago. His eyes passed over the horizon, before shifting down slightly, catching sight of something on the beach. Curious, Vidan approached, but halted upon realizing what it…was.

Human.

A cool breeze brushes past him and he can hear the voices in his mind, his voices he thinks, but other times, he thinks back to that thing he saw in the bunker. Curious, aren't you? Do you want to go forwards? Vidan isn't sure. He hasn't seen a human in forever. And this one..she doesn't seem to be moving around. Is she alive? Something tells him she is. Vidan steps forwards, even slower than before - if that was possible. He walks around, clearly cautious. You think Vidan would be jumping for joy at the sight of another human, but alas, that was not the case. Maybe months ago, yes. But he's changed. He figures by the faint imprints in the sand that she's probably moved herself to the shade of the tree. His eyes move back to the beach, looking for something new. How did she get here? Another plane? Boat?
He sees nothing.

Vidan looks back and approaches, setting back his rifle and kneeling down in front of the woman. Is she sleeping? Vidan leans forwards, studying her. There's a chance she may be needing medical attention, something Vidan only knows the basics in. What sort of medical stuff he's learned these past few months is by no means professional. He debates on how to proceed.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Turi undoubtedly that something was wrong. She was mentally preparing herself to die, if she is where she think she is, there was no way she would survive. It wasn't until she opened her eyes that she knew she was in real danger. For a moment she was stunned as an unknown man sat in front of her.

Seconds went by and a high pitched terrified scream escaped her lips. In a panic she tried to move but only hit her head on the tree behind her. Ignoring her body telling her not to move, her mind was in flight mode. Scrambling, she switched direction and moved to her right. Her hand searched the ground for something, anything to use as a weapon, sadly there was nothing. "Who are you? Are you going to kill me?" Many questions run through her mind, but those were the only two that would come out.

The sand made her skin feel like it was rubbing up against sandpaper. It was unpleasant. Her hair a mess with sand all over her, she probably looked like a crazy person, but so did this person. Why is he here? Did he end up here like me?

With no food or water in her system, she felt like throwing up, or maybe passing out? Mostly likely both. But Turi forced herself to stay awake.

(Sorry, I had trouble figuring out what to write.)

@Mojack group

Vidan flinched upon hearing the scream, his heartbeat speeding up for various reasons. He fell backwards, quickly recovering and standing up, albeit shakily. Why did she scream? Oh, that was right- she didn't know. Her experience was different than his, he had no one while she woke up to a stranger. That made sense to Vidan.

"Not..gonna kill you, no. Not myself." Vidan said after a moment, not having spoke to a real human being in a…well, all he knew that it was a long time. His words came out weird, and Vidan barely brushed by the fact that miscommunication was probably bound to happen at some point. "Name's.." Vidan paused, staying silent for longer than he would've liked.

"Name's Vidan. Where did you come from?"
