"You let me worry about Rosalind," Farah replied. "If she tries anything – and I mean anything at all – Luna, Saul, and I will all be there to stop her."

"Farah almost died this morning," Saul repeated. "What aren't you getting about that?"

Luna lifted her thin, pointed nose in the air. "Don't raise your voice to me, Saul Silva."

"There they are!" one of the princess' guardsmen exclaimed, pointing at two figures rushing hurriedly through the trees.

Saul whirled around and relaxed a bit seeing Farah's tall figure and Aiki's distinctive ears.

@Fraust

"Alright…" Aiki kept following, relaxing a bit once they made it through the trees and saw Saul and Luna. He waved, his heart racing from fear and exertion. "H-Hi… um… I assume that you're Luna?" They asked, panting a bit to catch their breath. "Um… Farah mentioned you had a ring or something…?"

@emilyevewrites group

“I am,” the princess replied. “And I do.” She arched her penciled eyebrow as she took in Aiki’s appearance. “I assume that you’re Farah’s friend I was called here to help.”

Farah gave Luna a once-over. “Luna, play nice,” she said shortly. “Neither of us is above the other.”

Luna’s lips pursed like she was tasting something far too sour for her liking. “I beg to differ, Farah. I don’t believe you are the heir to the Solarian throne.”

Farah looked away and rolled her eyes before she faced her again. “That is not what I meant and you know it.”

@Fraust

"Um… y-yeah, I'm her friend. I don't know how much she told you over the phone." Aiki laughed weakly, rubbing the back of their neck as they looked around to make sure Rosalind wasn't nearby. His ears swiveled around to catch any sounds as he turned his attention back to Luna. They looked between Farah and Luna as they bickered, seeming a bit uneasy. "Um… I don't exactly know how all of this works, so…"

@emilyevewrites group

Luna's imperious gaze shifted from Farah to Aiki. "Well didn't you somehow use a gateway ring to get here?" she asked curiously. "Or else you wouldn't even be in the Otherworld."

Farah stepped in front of Aiki. "Luna. The gateway," she demanded.

Luna held up her hand almost to silence Farah. "I'd like to know what I'm doing before I do it. How did…" She raised her eyebrows expectantly.

Farah pressed her lips together to calm herself before filling in. "Aiki."

"How did… Aiki… even get to the Otherworld in the first place?" Luna asked. "Isn't the first rule of the Otherworld keeping the Otherworld a secret from First Worlders?"

Farah sighed quietly. She should have known it wouldn't be simple with Luna. Nothing was.

@Fraust

"I was unconscious, so… I dunno. As far as I know, Rosalind brought all of us here." Aiki replied, shrugging a bit, but staying behind Farah so he would feel more secure. They didn't really know what Luna wanted to know, or what they were allowed to tell her, but they didn't like just standing around in the open after Rosalind's threats. "I-I just want to go home… please. I don't want to be stuck here forever, miss…"

@emilyevewrites group

Aiki's words struck a chord in Farah. "Luna, you have to let him go home," she stated firmly.

Luna glanced around before she sighed. "Alright," she relented. "You owe me a favor then, Farah." With that, Luna slipped a ring out of her pocket. It was much larger and more ornate the Rosalind's, and while Rosalind's was silver, Luna's was a blossoming gold. There was a reason this was one of the crown jewels of Solaria.

(I just had a really good but really horrible idea…)

@Fraust

(What is it 👀)
Aiki sighed softly in relief when Luna relented, feeling a bit reassured. They hadn't seen Rosalind yet, so they hoped that meant that they were in the clear. His eyes shone when he saw the ring and he moved out from behind Farah, his heart pounding hard in his chest. They couldn't help but be excited to go home after this overall horrible experience.

(Okay, so idk if I mentioned this before, but fairies can acquire multiple abilities, more than just the ones they're born with. So Farah and Rosalind are mind fairies, Ben is an earth fairy, Luna is a light fairy, etc; So, one of Rosalind's learned abilities is illusion manipulation – the power to control the light that one's eyes perceive, making one see things that aren't there – and therefore also invisibility. What if she's standing by the gateway when Luna opens it, and when Aiki steps through, before it's shut, Rosalind makes herself visible again and pushes Farah through the gateway, then she shuts it and seals it with her own ring so Farah can't get back. That way I can be in your world for a bit where you control most of the characters, and the rp doesn't end)

@emilyevewrites group

(Ahhh, I'm about to torture Farah and Saul so bad by making them be away from each other while trying to figure out how to get Farah back)

Farah quickly picked up on Aiki's excitement, and she smiled warmly. Luna led the way closer to the gateway with Aiki following her and Farah trailing behind the fox boy.

"What does this place look like?" Luna asked, and Farah's eyes turned silvery-blue as she projected an image she'd seen in Aiki's memory to Luna so the light fairy had a clear image of where to send the gateway to.

Luna nodded and pressed her palm to the wood of the door. Her ring became illuminated with mystical magic, and her eyes turned pale yellow as she used her magic to power the ring. The edges of the door glowed for a moment, then stopped.

Farah gently touched Aiki's arm as Luna opened the door to reveal Aiki's room in his house.

@Fraust

(Yep lol)
Aiki watched closely, their eyes wide. He wasn't particularly conscious or functional the last time he'd been through one of these gateways, so seeing one felt like the first time. They looked at the visual projection of one of their memories curiously; this sort of thing was just so different than the kind of magic that they could do.

His excitement only peaked more when he saw his bedroom through the gateway. It was a bit messy, but neater then they'd left it. They presumed that Eiji might have gone through their things to see if they had left something behind to say where they might be. He looked up at Farah to make sure it was safe to go through.

@emilyevewrites group

Farah's eyes glistened slightly with happy tears, and she nodded encouragingly. "Go on in," she whispered happily. "It's your room. Your world."

Saul came to stand beside her, a smile on his lips as well.

Luna only watched them. Her gaze was curious, and she appeared to be showing more sympathy for Aiki than when he had first arrived.

(Also, I'm not one for shameless self promos, but… I started two o/o rps, and no one has joined either of them yet. If you're interested, could you maybe join one? They're called "He's Fast, She's Weird" and "Hold me closer, tiny dancer" in Limited. If you're not interested, that's totally fine. I just wanted to ask :))

@Fraust

(I can check them out ^^)

Aiki hesitated for a few seconds before stepping through the door and looking around as though to make sure it was real. He gently touched his bed; his dresser. All real… it's not just a dream. They smiled softly as well, their eyes stinging with tears as they turned to look at the others through the door. He made his soft purr like noise again as he grinned. "T-Thanks for bringing me back… and sorry for being so whiny while I was here." They laughed weakly. "I hope I'll see you guys again."

@emilyevewrites group

(Thank you!!! ^u^)

Farah laughed quietly. "Please stop apologizing," she teased. "I hope we'll see you again too."

"Oh, you will," a familiar voice spoke from behind her. Both Farah and Saul whirled around to see Rosalind as she waved away the spell that had made her invisible. "Very very soon." With that, she shoved Farah backward into the gateway.

Farah gasped and flailed desperately to grab onto something – anything – that would stop her momentum into the gateway.

"Farah!" Saul yelled, reaching out for Farah as she fell, but he was unable to reach her in time.

Farah hit the ground and scrambled to her feet. She was just in time to see Saul sprinting toward the door and Rosalind over his shoulder with a wicked grin on her face. Her eyes turned grey, and she used her magic to slam the door shut. The last thing Farah saw from the Otherworld was Saul straining to reach her.

As the door slammed shut, Rosalind stalked toward it and pressed her hand against it as Luna had. This time, her silver ring illuminated, and the same golden flash appeared around the door. However, this time, instead of creating the gateway, the gateway was cut off so Farah was unable to return.

"No!" Saul yelled loudly, throwing himself at Rosalind. She used her magic to fling him away like a pesky bug.

"Don't test me, Silva," Rosalind chided, turning to face him now that the work had been done. "You either, princess. Remember, it was only a year ago that you too were my student."

Luna stiffened, and her lip curled at the sight of Rosalind.

"No!" Farah yelled, reaching for the door. She opened the door, only to find herself staring into Aiki's closet(?). "No, no, no, no, no!" she cried. She desperately tried the door over and over again to no avail. When the realization finally hit her, she sunk to her knees with tears pooling in her eyes and blurring her vision. "Saul…" She wanted to yell his name, but it came out as a strangled whisper instead.

@Fraust

Aiki's smile faded and he yelped when Rosalind appeared, and he stumbled backwards as Farah came tumbling through the gateway although he did attempt to catch her. They looked up after Farah had come through to see that the gateway had closed, and their heart started to race. Oh, god… is she stuck here now?

Suddenly, there was the sound of footsteps from outside Aiki's bedroom door. After a few seconds of the footsteps gradually getting louder, someone burst through the door. It was Eiji; although his normally neat dark hair was disheveled, and he appeared much more stressed than the calm figure in Aiki's memories. Upon seeing Aiki, Eiji's knees felt weak and he lunged forward to hug his twin tightly. "O-Oh my god… Aiki, you're… y-you're okay…" Eiji whispered. Aiki's eyes stung with tears and they returned their brother's hug, trembling a bit. "Where have you been?? What happened??" Eiji asked, pulling away and suddenly noticing Farah. "Who is she?"

Aiki sighed softly, looking for the right words. "Um… well… she's a friend of mine that I met in the woods that the kid with the teleporting power sent me to? She's from some other dimension, which I was in for however long, and now I'm here and I think she's stuck here too." Aiki explained, rambling a bit, but Eiji seemed to understand somehow.

"Well, um… I-I'm glad you're back, and it's nice to meet you, miss. We're making lunch right now if you're hungry… I stayed home from school since we were trying to look for Aiki. I guess we'll have to go back tomorrow now that you're here, though."

@emilyevewrites group

Farah's mouth hung slightly open, and while her eyes were open, they were unfocused and blurred due to the building pool of tears. Her arms hugged herself tightly, her fingers gripping the sleeves of her jacket so tightly the blood began to pull from her knuckles and turn them white. Eiji and Aiki's words reached her ears, but they were almost muffled. She felt like she was underwater. "Nice to meet you too," she whispered before her stomach suddenly and violently turned, causing her to gag and almost throw up. Never had she felt this kind of pain before. Grieving for a loss, but there really was no loss. Just… separation.

@Fraust

"Farah?" Aiki looked down at Farah with a concerned expression, kneeling down beside her. "I-I'm really sorry you're stuck here, but… we'll try and find some way to get you back, okay? Surely someone here has some sort of interdimensional power… " They hummed thoughtfully, not sure what to do. Eiji, noticing that Farah was distressed and looked unwell, knelt beside her as well. His eyes glowed and his ears pricked up as he gently touched her shoulder with one glowing hand to use his healing, soothing power on her. It was intended to make people feel more comfortable and safe as well as more physically healed.

@emilyevewrites group

As Eiji's power began to work, Farah's physical body became more relaxed, but for some reason, her mental processes weren't affected. Though she looked more relaxed, she didn't feel it in the slightest, almost like she was blocking it. "I know now," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I know now how you felt, Aiki, being trapped in the Otherworld, away from your friends and family." She turned to look at them with the most emotion they had ever seen on her face. "I'm so… so sorry."

@Fraust

Aiki turned their ears back and looked away, laughing weakly. "Y-Yeah, it's… it's hard, b-but I'm sure Saul and Luna and Ben are gonna be doing everything they can to get you back. Andreas, too. As annoying as he is, he does care about you, and I'm sure he'll want you back home. Everything is going to be okay, alright? We'll get you back." Eiji nodded in agreement, focusing on keeping his power in use.

@emilyevewrites group

Farah closed her eyes and nodded slowly. "Right," she whispered. "They won't leave me here." Slowly, she began to get her bearings again, thanks in part to Eiji's magic as she relinquished herself to its effects. Farah sighed quietly and attempted a smile for Aiki's sake. "I'm so happy you're home though. It's a pleasure to meet you, Eiji," she also greeted. "I've heard lots about you."

@Fraust

When Farah seemed to have mostly recovered, Eiji pulled away, looking a bit tired and drained from using his power. It definitely seemed to have similar side effects to Aiki's. "It's nice to meet you as well, miss…" He looked over at his twin with a bit of a smirk at Farah's comment. "Aww, you've been talking about me? Did you miss me?" He teased, to which Aiki flustered and scoffed a bit. "W-What? No… I was just talking about how… uh… annoying you are." They insisted. Eiji snickered a bit and ruffled his brother's hair. "You're not a very good liar, Ai."

@emilyevewrites group

Farah offered a smile as she observed the brothers' playful bickering. "Please don't call me 'Miss,'" she eventually intervened. "My name is Farah, and as much as your banter amuses me, I'm absolutely famished. Eiji, you said something about lunch, I believe?" She wasn't really too terribly hungry, she just needed to do something other than sit on the floor by the door where she'd lost Saul for the time being. Her heart ached horribly just looking in the door's general direction.

@Fraust

Both twins looked up in unison when Farah spoke, both making the same soft hum noise as their ears pricked up. "Ah, right! Yeah, we can get you some food. Our parents will be glad to see Aiki, too… they'll have to call the police to tell them we found you, though. They sent out a search party." Eiji laughed weakly and Aiki paled, looking anxious and guilty. "Right… um…" Both of them got to their feet, and Aiki held out his hand to help Farah up.

@emilyevewrites group

Farah giggled quietly as the twins moved in unison, and she gratefully took Aiki's hand. Her legs still felt weak from the shock of it all, but at least she was able to stand. "A search party?" she sounded amused. "How exciting." She winked teasingly at Aiki.
