This was so strange. Were they smiling at him? How? He must be interpreting things wrong. Bailey just sighed, and was about to look over to see what this guy needed help with when a voice stopped him.
”Child.”
His view was blocked by a small, satyr-like creature wearing a cloak. His eyes were strange, even for being a goat’s. They danced and and shifted in their sockets like kaleidoscopes, and it made it difficult to look at him.
”Hi Cedrak!” Sillmud greeted.
Cedrak didn’t look at her. ”Greetings,” was all he bothered to say. Addressing Bailey, he said, ”Human child, would you care to explain your consorting with other human beings?”
Bailey blinked. My what? It was difficult to know how to answer with the other boy so close. He tried looking around him to see.
Greyson tilts his head back at the other boy, confused.
Um. . . what's going on? Why is he moving his head like that?
“Cedrak,” Bailey said under his breath, “Please.”
The demon only frowned, and did not budge. Bailey sighed.
“Oh, um. I’m sorry,” he said to the boy. “Can you wait until I’m finished with my work? I’m almost done.”
(I totally haven’t been stealing from the other rp until now-)
Greyson nods, a little flustered.
"Uh- sure, that's alright."
Bailey nodded back, then quickly went back to his work. He wasn’t lying or anything, he was almost done. As he started on a new problem, he whispered to the demon under his breath. “He just asked me to help him, that’s it. What’s the deal?”
Cedrak moved in front of him but didn’t block him from the worksheet. ”You cannot risk talking to others, child. Who knows where it could lead?”
“I’m pretty sure I’ll never see this guy again in my life. I’m just helping him, and that’s it. I don’t wanna get closer to him or anything if that’s what you’re worried about.” Bailey finished the problem and started working on the last one. Sillmud leaned forward a little to help him out.
”Yeah, I’m sure it’s fine, Cedrak.” She smiled at him. ”Just a little favor, you know?”
Cedrak rolled his eyes. ”Fine, but I will be watching you. And I will intervene if need be.”
“Whatever, Ced.” Bailey finished the worksheet, then turned and handed it to the boy. “Hey, here. Just tell me if you need any explanations or something.”
Greyson nods thankfully, accepting the worksheet and just copying it down.
Once he's done, he hands the paper back.
"Thank you, you're a lifesaver."
Bailey just nodded back. "No problem." He took the worksheet back and looked up. It seemed that the teacher did not notice their exchange. He let out a small sigh of relief, then got up and turned it in at the front desk. Heads turned as he passed. He tried to ignore them. Of course, with Sillmud following him, that wasn't hard to do. Their bushy hair tickled his eyelashes as he came back to his seat.
Greyson gets up after a bit, turning his work in.
Eventually, he slides a small slip of paper of to Bailey, with his number and the words "Call me?" scrawled on it in messy but smooth writing, face hidden beneath his deep hood.
Bailey had tilted his head back, wanting to sleep for the rest of the class period if he was being honest. The sound of paper alerted him to open his eyes though, and when he saw the handwritten note, his heart began to thump in his chest. He briefly glanced at the boy, and as though summoned by that beating heart of his, a demon blocked his view.
She was tall, about seven feet with a full figure. Her cow’s tail curled gracefully behind her as as an unnerving grin spread on her face. ”What is that there, darling?” she asked.
Bailey gulped. He watched as all of the demons appeared. There were five in all, from Marronae, the tall one with the cow’s tail, to the tiny Azarith, all crowding around to see the note.
”I don’t know kid, doesn’t look good,” Dirgan said, his blue, forked tongue slipping between his fangs.
”A certainly bold move, we cannot trust it.” Cedrak noted, stroking his goatee.
”Oh, it’s probably nothing anyway,” Sillmud said, shrugging her shoulders as the small crystals imbedded in them glistened.
Bailey could not answer. He had enough, and got up from his seat. After notifying the teacher, he quickly escaped to the bathroom.
Greyson sighs, face red.
Aaaand I've fucked it up, haven't I?
