Yesim shrugged. "I don't know, where do you want to go?" She asked, looking around the street.
Yesim shrugged. "I don't know, where do you want to go?" She asked, looking around the street.
"park? I hear they're having a concert. I don't know who's playing though." For the first time she looked Yesmin over. "Your pretty," she said subconsciously, "in a normal way, nothing frilly or extreme."
Yesim's face flushed at the compliment. "Oh-I-um-thank you…?" She mumbled, making it seem more like a question.
She nodded and straightened "sorry if that was out of the blue, I tend to say things without thinking. Especially to people who tend to surprise me like yourself."
Yesim also nodded. "It's fine," She replied, her face still a bit pink.
"you're blushing," she noticed with a small smile "ready to go?"
Yesim furiously nodded, not trusting herself to speak anymore.
She laughed lightly and took her hand "come on, I know a short cut," she jogged into the allyway behind them
Yesim's face turned red at the sudden contact but quickly snapped out of it and followed Kirta into the alleyway.
She rounded a few corner and ran down a few roads, avoiding as many people as possible "I need to stop home for a sec for blankets. Mind waiting five minutes?"
Yesim nodded. "Sure," She answered, looking around.
She let go of her hand and climbed a fire escape to her window. Flipping the lights on, she bussled around her room to find some blackest, one for the ground to sit on and two to wrap themselves in
Yesim patiently waited outside, not sure what to do as she leaned against the wall.
Kirta made her way down the fire escape, a bundle of blankets in her hand. She wrapped one around Yesim's shoulders and one around her own, holding the last in her hands "so what music do you like?" She asked as she started walking
"I listen to almost everything but country," Yesim answered, following Kirta while holding the blanket.
"finally, someone in this town who doesn't like country!" She said happily "don't worry, I don't this concert is country."
Yesim couldn't help but chuckle. "I know right! Everyone around me loved country and I was just so confused."
"ah so you're not from here? Lucky. You didn't have to be raised by hillbilly music. All that "Yee haw what up girl I like your chaps" crap people call music. So where you from?" She asked with a side smile
Yesim couldn't help but giggle as she glanced at Kirta. "Michigan."
"never been, what's it like?" She inquiries, gaining more and more interest with the girl as she asked more questions
"Cold, unpredictable weather, but it's good overall." Yesim answered, smiling a bit at the other.
"sounds like fun…" She smiled and turned a corner "and we're here!" She splayed her hands as she presented Yesim the park
"Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't." Yesim replied before looking around the park. "It's pretty."
She nodded "yeah it is, too many people though. Come on, let's find a spot where we can see the whole stage."
Yesim nodded and looked around again to see if there were any empty spots.
