Name: Ariella "Ella" Fisa
Age: Twenty-one
Weapons: throwing knives, short sword
Appearance: about 5'6, athletic, slightly curvy build. Tan, almost olive skim with black hair to match. She has green eyes.
Personality: cocky, a little full of herself, like to crack jokes. Despite that, can still be very cautious about situations. Despite saying she only cares about herself and she has no friends, she quite self sacrificing should it come to that.
Other: She's the kingmaker. She can detect lies and within that lie, the truth. The catch? The lie sends a wave of pain through her she long learned to conceal. She was gifted the magic from an oracle to take magic from others should she please. But she can only use as much as she took and once it's gone, that's it.
(Lol nvm it's slow enough I can get this up. But the starter will come later tonight)
(XD cool!)
The first thing Ariella noticed as they entered Sinta was how hot it was. It was a humid heat, one that could suffocate you from just breathing too much. It was much different than she was used to. Fisa, and even Tarva, were closer to the Ice Plains and thus much cooler, even in the summer. Sinta was just hot. Even now, she was sweating. Their traveling circus had been established in one of the outlying villages of Sinta. The tents and stages had long past been set up the day before and now were open to the public. The sun hadn't even peaked int eh sky yet and she couldn't believe it was only going to get hotter, according to the locals. She was hot and sweating and worried that it would take off the makeup she had piled on her face. The makeup that aged her by several years, in hopes that no one would recognize her from her past should they walk by. It was better that way, even if all she wanted to do was wash off the cake of cosmetics.
She was currently by the stage, watching one of her friends perform. The city, full of Hoi Polloi, was mesmerized by the colors she emitted from her body as she danced. A strange magic, if you asked Ariella, but no one ever did. Her friend was happy with her magic and that was all that mattered. And the Hoi Polloi gobbled up as if they had never seen something so magnificent. She supposed for someone born without magic it was pretty great to watch it. And Sinta had very little Magoi.
As a new act started on stage, a married couple with throwing knives, she meandered her way bath to her booth. A fortune teller. She wasn't really. Tarot cards were natural and did the work for her. The cards were magic themselves and would reveal the card that was meant for the person. The crystal ball was nothing but a decoration, nothing the people didn't need to know. Some answers were easy for her to make up, others, not so much. She had to rely on her great improve skills and making things up on the spot. But she never had an unhappy answer, likely because she was never in one spot long enough for them to come back and complain, and it earned her the coin she needed.
She slipped into her booth and sat down in her chair, grabbing a handheld fan to try and cool herself off. She pretended it worked and wasn't just blowing more hot air in her face. She grabbed her deck of cards, making sure they were neat and set out in just the right place. Everything was good. All she needed was a customer.
(Sorry that took so long. Btw, I might not be on a lot tomorrow but Monday should be regular responses.)
Its ok! I don’t mind ill get a reply soon
Amyntas grimaces softly as he limps away from his fathers home. He didn’t want to have to hear another scolding and beating from his father as he screamed at the people who hurt him. He loved his father, but when he was angry, he didn’t wanna be around that. Even if he wasn’t mad at Amyntas. He sighs and coughs slightly, limping away to somewhere he could escape.
soon comes across what seemed like some kind of circus. He huffs a soft laughs and limps inside, looking around. He soon spots a small fortune telling booth and scoffs, walking over to the woman sitting there. “Hello…” He says softly, almost too quietly. “What is your charge for a tarot reading?”
Ariella looked uo as someone approached, a man. She looked him up and down, stiffening as she noticed the clothing. No commoner wore such clothing. Be was nobiity or even royalty. A dangerous thing for her to be around, given who she was. Ariella Fisa, the missing princess. Something no one knew. No one but her. A heavy burden to carry.
But here, here she was Ella the fortune teller. Ella, part of the traveling circus. Ella, with obvious Fisa roots but her accent was so mangled one could never really tell where she was from. Something she preferred. Her clothing indicated Fisa, or at least Fisa roots but she could play it off that she was at least from Tarva.
"It depends on the reading you want. One card, three cards, different spreads. It depends what you want to know that will determine what would be better for you." She finally spoke, a sweet smile on her lips.
Amyntas smiles softly, but still manages to keep a cold, seemingly not caring look on his face. “Just a simple three card spread. Emotional stability.” He says softly, sitting down. “I would also like to see if you actually know how to read tarot. Or if you’re just a fake.”
Amyntas knew perfectly well he sounded rude, but at the moment, he was in a little too much pain to ask. If the girl knew how to correct him when he soon asks, “Do you know the right way to shuffle the cards?” He’d then know she wasn’t just scamming people.
Ariella lifted an eyebrow. "The tarot cards do all the work, I am simply a guiding hand. There is no fake or not fake. It's simply down to if you know how ti interpret your cards."
She picked up her deck of cards and held them over her incense to cleanse them of previous energies. "There are several ways to shuffle the cards. There is no right of wrong." She shuffled them like a regular deck of cards. "You can shuffle like a deck of card. You can cut it into several different stacks." She cut the deck into smaller stacks before restocking in a different order." You can spread then all over the table and mix them. Or if you like chaos, you can throw them around. For obvious reasons, I won't be demonstrating that."
She placed the deck of cards in front of him. "You said emotional stability, yes? Shuffle the deck for me then." This would allow for his energy to soak into the cards.
Amyntas grins slightly. “Right answer.” He takes the cards, shuffling them a little differently than her, holding them with one hand, and letting them fall into his other. He murmurs something in Greek, then smirks as one falls out. He sets it down and looks at her.
An upside down king of cups.
Amyntas hums, “What do you think that means?” His voice was soft, almost like a purr. It was clear that now, he was only testing her.
Ariella sat back, watching as his fingers shuffled the cards. Her eyes looked him up and down, assessing him. She had never had someone challenge her and her readings, this was a first. She found she kind of liked it. Despite how dangerous it was to be dealing with a royal, she was enjoying herself.
There was a small smile as she looked down at the cards. Reversed King of Cups. She raised her eyes, hitching an eyebrow. "A reversed King of Cups can mean several things but the bottom line has to do with your emotions. Emotions that you're repressing and hiding deep within. You've either discovered them on your own or you're about to find out the hard way what your subconscious is thinking."
He nods, “Well done. To sum this card up, my emotions are to shit right now.” He grins, still shuffling as he looked at her. Two more cards fell out,
The two of cups, and the the three of swords.
Amyntas looks at the cards and scoffs when he sees the two of cups, muttering something else in a mix of Greek and english that sounded like, “The fuck do you mean? Weirdo-” It seemed like he was talking to the cards.
Ariella looked at the cards, looked at the man, then back down at the cards. "It looks like love is coming your way. Two of cups is almost equivalent to the Lovers card. But you're feeling sorrow and hurt. And to accept that love, you'll need to over come that."
His previous card made a little more sense in relation to these. He needed to understand and sort through hos emotions to be able to accept the love that was coming towards him. "Most people would be excited to know that they had a strong love coming their way. You don't seem so excited."
He huffs a laugh, “Thats what my cards keep telling me. But I’m- not too fond of having any more…let’s just say ‘gold diggers’ in my life.” He grumbles softly, speaking again to the cards, then rolls his eyes as another one falls out of his hands. He quickly put it back into the deck before Ariella could even get a glance of it. He sighs and sets the cards down.
“Well. I’m glad you’re not just some scammer.” He looks at her and smiles.
Ariella looked at the cards before taking then and placing them to the side. "The two of cups doesn't like. You'll find a true love, someone who isn't in it for your money or status. Someone who truly wants just you."
She sat back in her chair. "You seemed to know everything before you sat in my chair. At least other than the two of cups. So what is it that I can truly do for you?"
He hums, looking at her. “Why are you hiding, princess.” He whispers, looking her dead in the eyes.
“You obviously know what I am, and don’t think I don’t know you either. And don’t worry. I’m not an asshole. I’m not gonna tell anyone. I’m just curious.” Amyntas smiles softly, trying to show her that he meant what he said.
Ariella's nose flared at hia words. She looked around frantically, making sure no one was listening to their conversation. "You don't know what you're talking about. I think you're confused."
She gave him a look. He better retract his words or else. If word spread that she was alive, that she was there, if word got back to her mother, blood would pay the price. All of her friends, her family, they would pay. She wouldn't allow that. She needed to leave. She needed to leave now to protect them.
