Hello! I'm looking for a couple of dedicated people (or just one person!) to help decide the fate of this fun little story I'll be laying out right here. This will be our story; a combined effort of my writing and your choices. You'll be able to read along as I write (quickly, mind you–updates won't take more than a day!) and, when I present choices to you, pick which sounds the most interesting to you. Your choices will include everything from decisions on magical abilities to possible dating partners to even small things such as what foods the character eats.
This is a good RP for people who really like reading/influencing stories without having to write out a whole lot. You won't have to make a character sheet, either, but you will help influence the main character's backstory before starting.
Interested? Let me know!
Ooooo my interest has been piqued!
Here's a little bit more of the story:
- The main character is a young man of seventeen years of age by the name of Cecil R. Valentine. He's just become accepted into a highly advanced, prestigious magic school referred to as Ravesson's University.
- Ravesson's offers courses for ten different main types of magic:
- Healing
- Light or dark manipulation
- Floating/flying
- Heightened senses
- Tele-skills (like telekinesis)
- The manipulation of random subjects (very random; like the manipulation of gravity or metal, for example)
- Animal communications
- Self-transformation
- Invisibility/camouflage
- Summoning (of anything from a magical weapon to demons of a sort)
@EWS-izzy
Awesome! Are you alright with the fact that you technically won't have to write anything for this/have a character of your own? You'll of course be just as involved as it as I am, but I'll be doing more of the actual writing/thinking of story elements/offering you choices to make.
Also, you'll never have to worry about not responding fast enough :)
Yeah, of course!
And not worrying about having to respond in time honestly sounds great, since sometimes things come up and I might be offline for a day or so.
Great! Also, sorry for the delay—I was asleep.
Are you ready to make some choices, then?
I think I’m going to leave this RP open for one more person. That way if one of you isn’t free, the other one might be! It’ll help progress the story along a bit more smoothly.
That's totally fine! And yeah, that sounds good!
This looks really fun and right up my alley, may I join?
Of course you can join, @callycat!
So, it’s time to make some choices. Choices will either be given to you by me in the form of a list or in parenthesis form, such as:
The girl’s name was (Alice/Emma).
You will simply just have to say which one you like. The decision will go to whoever makes their preference clear first (or, if there’s an uneven balance of choices for some reason, I’ll pick which one of you gets to make the choice). If neither of you answer for, say, a day, then I will pick a choice to progress the story along. Don’t worry—I won’t be upset if you don’t answer. I get it, we each have lives, and RPing isn’t our priority.
(Okii!)
How about Alice for the name?
Here we go! These next few decisions are just for the background, so the story hasn’t technically started yet. Also, I’ll be keeping all choices made in a folder of mine, so if you ever need a refresher you can just ask.
As a refresher, Cecil R. Valentine is a seventeen-year-old boy that just got accepted into the prestigious, advanced magic school known as Ravesson’s University.
Before Cecil got accepted, he went to a small private school called Ghastir’s Academy for the Gifted and Talented.
What did he think of Ghastir’s?
(He liked it/he didn’t like it)
(Alice is now a character in the story. She will appear later on.)
(Alright, cool. He didn't like Ghastirs)
Alright, interesting.
How many friends did Cecil have at Ghastir’s, and did any of them also get accepted to Ravesson’s?
• He had a lot but none got accepted
• He had a lot but only one got accepted
• He had a couple and two got accepted
• He had one that didn’t get accepted
• He spent most of his time alone
(He had a lot but only one got accepted)
(Yeah agree with that choice)
Cool. The friend that got accepted is named Naomi Atkins, and she has dark skin, light brown eyes, and long, curly black hair.
Hey, speaking of appearances, what about Cecil? He’s fair-skinned and has glasses, but what about his hair?
(Long/short)
(Black/brown)
Amazing choice.
What about his eyes? What color do you think they should be?
• Light blue
• Medium green
• Grayish
