Okay so basically, there's this city called the city of dreams and its big and sparkly and people have goo goo eyes for it. BUT! Always looks below the surface. In the farthest corners of this beautiful city lay the slums.
The slums, though still beautiful in their own dark twisted way, have been walled off from the rest of the city. This is a place where crime runs rampant. Police don't even try to correct the wrongs done there. They don't even set foot with in the walls. The slums are where people who want to disappear go.
Sometimes its a mistake, as some think their though enough to survive, but spoilers, they aren't.

So basically anything goes. Weapons like guns aren't so popular in the slums (cuz they cost A lot) and chances are if someone does have a gun, they don't have ammo. Also there are police stationed outside the walls, simply to keep people from coming back out. (It's pretty much a one way ticket unless you've got clearance to come and go.)

This can be kinda cyber punk if you want, I don't really care.

One of the characters, preferably yours, will be a bounty hunter. While the other, mine, will be on the run from something they did.
Also just because I do a lot better Role-playing Females, I do ask that your charter is male. I would like this to have romance in it (because I'm trash and literally can't do a RP without it.) And would rather this one be a Straight RP. (I have nothing against lgbt+ its just that I believe straight will work better for this dynamic.)

Uh, Rules.
-Ye may curse if ye wish, but curse lightly for the walls are watching.
-don't really care about spelling, I myself have trouble sometimes, so don't worry about it to much.
-punctuation is a MUST you can add as many comas as you want but for the love of Lego land, use periods.
-must be able to go off of what the other said. Aka, don't have dry responses.
-if at any point in the RP you are going to abandon it, give me a heads up.
-don't spam bump, I quiet enjoy falling off the face of the earth. If I'm gonna leave for an extended amount of time (more than a month) I'll try and give you a heads up.
-put TW warnings if you are going to mention a sensitive topic. I don't want to be responsible for any panic attacks.
-you may RP more than one charter, but make sure you can keep up with them. Especially make sure to have a distinctive lime between your side characters and your main one

Uh yeah, I think that's it. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
There is no template. (Because I think they are useless for this kinda RP.)

@Dirt

(Sure thing! I'm heading off the work rn, but I'll be back in a few hours to post the starter.)

@Echo_6 group

(Cool, that works. I can't promise that I'll be on very often either, I have school sports and work around my farm so, I apologize in advance for being a bit spotty.)

@Dirt

(Ah don't worry. I'm also rather spotty.)

A rancid smell filled Vera's lungs with every breath, and every foot fall had puddles splashing her legs. She had no choice but to run. Vera constantly told herself she'd get used to the smell, or that it wasn't piss that she was stepping in. That she wasn't about to run into a dead end, completely screwing herself over. But it was all lies.
She cursed under her breath as she rounded the corner, a wall cutting her path of escape off.
"Lil' mouse," a drunk Man slurred. "Run ou' track?" His laugh made Vera's skin crawl. The city's slums where dangerous to say the lease, and Vera didn't know what she was thinking when she thought she could survive them. It had been less than a week and this was already her fourth run in with someone who wanted to hurt her.
"Don't touch me." Vera forced her voice to stay strong, even though her inter frame shook. She was sure is she kept a level head she could out maneuver this guy and get away. But that didn't mean she wouldn't run into more problems later on.

Tolkalee weaved calmly in and out of streets, waving off people that tried to approach him. His head snapped up when he saw the girl sprint down the street and round a corner that he already knew was a dead end. An older man that looked like absolute trash followed the girl. "Piece of trash," he muttered.He stuck his hands in the pockets of his royal purple colored hoodie, and made his way across the street to the place he'd seen both people run. The man had cut off the girl's escape and was trying to advance on her.
Instead of coming up from behind he made his way around and hopped down the wall now behind the girl. His hands still in his pockets, he leaned against the wall. "Leave the Lady alone," he warned.

@Dirt

Vera almost jumped out of her skin at the sight of this new stranger. His hoodie making him seem like he didn't belong in this place.
The drunk man glared at the new comer. "Nd' if I don'?" He grinned revealing missing teeth, which only made Vera's skin crawl more.
If she was lucky the two would get into a fight and she'd be able to make a run for it. But that was a big if. For all Vera knew this new stranger wasn't any better than the one in the entrance of the alleyway.

@Echo_6 group

Tolkalee stood up straight and walked over to stand by the girl. He kept a distance from her to make sure she didn't feel uncomfortable. That was the hope anyways. "Sir, I don't think you want to know what would happen if you don't," he explained. His voice calm and almost soothing to an extent. But a note of threat was present. A large knife appeared in his hand as he pulled it out of his pocket. It was out of sight of the girl but the man could definitely see it.

@Dirt

Vera tensed, her nerves turning to jelly. She didn't know why but the drunk man suddenly seemed to be afraid, and that only made her resolve to run even stronger.
"Wha'ever." Muttered the drunk before turning on his heel and leaving.

"What do you want," Vera muttered, her dark brown eyes narrowing. In this city she'd never seen people help each other just for the heck of it. Everyone always wanted something.

@Echo_6 group

Tolkalee shrugged, put his hand back into his pocket and began walking away. "Stay safe," he replied. "That's what I want." His hood slid off revealing his bright yellow blond hair. As he walked, he showed subtle signs of a limp. Aside from his hoodie, he was wearing tan cargo pants and what looked like combat boots.

@Dirt

Vera twirled her strawberry pink hair around one of fingers. She had dyed it right before she fled, that way any pictures of her that got spread around would have some kind if difference.
"Wait," Vera called when she saw his limp, she couldn't help but wonder if it's been because he had hopped that wall. "Are you hurt?" She figured she could at least help him in return.

@Echo_6 group

Tolkalee paused and looked back at her. A smile on his face. "It's an old injury," he explained. "Don't worry." Thunder rumbled, from distant clouds drawing Tolkalee's attention. Then he looked back to her. " My name's Tolkalee, come on it's gonna rain. I know a place were you can stay out of the rain."

@Dirt

Vera hesitated, not complete sure she wanted to trust him. "I'm V," she said. It was a name she'd given out when anyone asked. There was no reason for her to go by her real name out here. Not to mention she was trying to lay low.
She decided to trust him- getting drenched wasn't on her to do list today.

@Echo_6 group

Tolkalee waited for her to catch up before continuing. He had been here long enough to know how to maneuver through areas without bringing much attention to himself. He'd also been here long enough to know that friends didn't really exist here. Nonetheless he still disliked seeing people try and take advantage of other people. Especially when it was another male trying to take advantage of a female. In his eyes they were equal, and should be treated as such.
He made his way down a walled off ally and stopped by the wall itself to wait for V.

@Dirt

Vera followed Tolkalee, making sure to keep a good arms length between them. Following him was already pushing it. But he had saved her- "you don't look like you belong here." She commented. If she was going to trust him, she could at least try and get some information out of him.

@Echo_6 group

"It's the hoodie isn't," he smiled as she caught up. Then he pushed on a spot in the wall and it opened to a small tunnel. "And quite honestly do any of us really belong here?"

@Dirt

Well that was the question of the century. Vera defiantly didn't belong here, her horrible survival skills made that obvious. "You're not gonna kill me right?" She asked at the sight of the tunnel.

@Echo_6 group

"No," Tolkalee shook his head. "If I wanted to do that I would have done it back when I first found you. Or I would have just let Mr. Trash try. I'm not the type to kill without a reason. And it has to be a good reason." He stepped into the tunnel and stepped aside to let V in.

@Dirt

Vera formed a small O shape with her mouth. That did make sense. Why save someone only to kill them later?
She took a hesitant step inside the tunnel. Every little alarm screaming at her to turn back girl she still could. But the thought of someone actually being kind, it made Vera wasn't to trust Tolkalee.

@Echo_6 group

Once they were both inside Tolkalee pulled the door closed and began making his way down the tunnel. It led to an open room that looked like a small house. There were a couple wooden chairs, a small fireplace, an old sofa and a hammock. Tolkalee unzipped his hoodie and hung it on the back of one of the chairs then went over to the fireplace to get the fire going. He was wearing a black t-shirt, but what was more noticable were the scars up and down his arms. None of them looked like he'd given them too himself. They looked like he'd gotten them from fights.

@Dirt

Vera didn't bother taking off her jacket, instead she zipped it up. It was much to large for her, and had dirt covering most of it. But it got the job done.
She looked around the quaint little home. It was defiantly better than the streets, but not what she had been expecting. After Vera finished inspecting the room she saw Tolkalee's scars.
"How did you get those?" She asked, knowing full well she shouldn't push her luck.

@Echo_6 group

Tolkalee glanced at his arms. "I was a… uh… soldier. Before I got here. During one of our ops we were blindsided, and I got taken hostage. I didn't talk, but they were bound and determined to make me. It took about a month for them to locate me and get me back home. Then they said they didn't want me to go through anything like that again, and I was honourably discharged. Didn't take me very long after that to get here," he explained. He glanced at her. "What about you? What brought you to this side of town?"

@Dirt

Vera wasn't to sure if she should believe him or not. The fact that he'd given her so much information-
"Arranged marriage," she quickly lied. Arranged marriages weren't to common, and only happened in the richer families. "But I didn't want to marry someone I didn't know." She found the words awkwardly falling from her mouth. Not knowing how to fix this possible disaster, Vera decided it'd be best if she just shut up.
To her advantage, she did look to be about seventeen (17) or eighteen (18), being around the age mist parents would marry their children off. Making her 'arranged marriage' lie to possibly sound true.
But in reality Vera was about to turn twenty-three (23).
