Growing impatient, Edan dipped out of hiding as the silhouette of the person became clearer. A woman. Perfect, perhaps, if it hadn’t been for the sliver of light making it impossible for him to approach her without being noticed. He stuck his hands in his pockets, staring at the ground while he walked forward. Maybe he could make himself look as harmless as possible until he was close enough. At least that was the goal.
Venna's grip tightened on the strap of her bag. Looking confident while walking was key. she didn't know the intentions of what seemed to be the only other person in the alleyway was. But she also couldn't jump to conclusions. Better safe then sorry- the light peeking through the roof tops shone in her eyes. Blinding the guard momentarily.
Edan was just a matter of a few steps away from his target when he caught the sliver of warm sunlight. He craned his neck towards it, taking in a breath as the last light of evening seeped into his face. If he hadn’t been determined before, the surge of energy gave him the confidence to grab at the woman’s arm, or hand, or wherever he could find exposed skin first, searching and desperate for warmth.
(Did her already grab her? Idk if I'm just nor reading it right or what sorry- my brain is malfunctioning 💀)
(It’s alright! I probably could have made it clearer, lol. He did just grab at her arm)
Venna let out a small squeak at the sudden movement. Something about anticipating it made it all that more surprising. Venna planted her feet to keep from being dragged anywhere. Next she pulled her arm from his grasp in a wide arc going down. She told herself she wasn't afraid.
She was a guard, Fear in situations like this where useless. She turned to run.
