hiro smirked putting the red dot on midas and urging bax to go get it

Midas straightened at that, then moved off of Malcolm, preparing for an attack. Bax rushed over and tackled the spidery bot, and they immediately went into play fighting.

Malcolm burst into laughter, amused by the whole thing.

hiro chuckled, giving bax secret hints through their contection

Bax listened to those hints, and used them to its advantage. Midas noticed, becoming a bit more cautious, but Bax adapted just as quickly.

Malcolm watched, calmly appraising the pair, and occasionally snickering.

Hiro watched as Midas went to lunge draw back and wait for him to jump, then charge him

Bax did as Hiro suggested, charging after Midas jumped. Bax rammed into Midas, flipping the spidery bot over. Midas curled into a spiky ball, seeming dissatisfied, before rolling over and walking away. Bax giggled.

Malcolm watched the whole scene, glancing at Hiro suspiciously. He then chuckled, shaking his head.

"good job bax" hiro said and held his hand out for the bot

Bax giggled again, climbing onto Hiro’s hand.

Malcolm looked back and forth between the two, having already suspected that the kid had contributed to the battle. It was still amusing though, despite the likelihood that Midas would need some appeasing later, regardless of how.

hiro reached over and pet Midas gently

Midas seemed to be suspecting the same thing as Malcolm, and was moody about it, but the bot accepted Hiro’s petting without complaint.

Bax waved a foot at Midas to get the bot’s attention, then hummed in thought.

“You are still bigger and stronger than me, and a good fighter,”Bax said.

Midas flashed in acknowledgment, seeming to settle down a bit at that.

Malcolm watched silently, still pondering over the battle.

“I can’t help but ask. Were you helping Bax?”Malcolm asked, genuinely curious.

" I was teaching him tricks, he never seemed to grasp that midas always tackled him before pinning him."

Malcolm hummed thoughtfully at the explanation, a small smile curving his lips.

Midas looked at Malcolm, seeming to know exactly what was on the old man’s mind. The bot flashed at him and Malcolm chuckled.

“You know me too well,”Malcolm said in amusement to Midas before turning to Hiro.

“I’m glad you have such a strong bond with Bax. It reminds me of when I first built Midas. And Midas remembers those days as well. He was much like Bax is now. Keep training Bax, showing him what he doesn’t see or know, and you’ll both benefit,”Malcolm mentioned.

Hiro chuckled, " I'm sure he will," he said as he was also thinking to the bot to turn his magnetic field on

Bax giggled and obeyed. The bot’s magnetic field came on, immediately attracting any loose metal bits near it.

Malcolm smiled a bit, then rose an eyebrow in confusion and mild surprise when Bax suddenly became magnetic.

now go near midas.

Bax started walking around, surreptitiously heading toward Midas. Both Midas and Malcolm watched in confusion, until Bax suddenly hopped closer to Midas.

The spidery bot flashed in surprise, stumbling until it bumped into Bax. Midas tried to move away, but ended up dropping into a sort of forced bow, with two legs clinging to Bax. That only seemed to fluster Midas even more.

"good job bax,"

Bax giggled, then turned off its magnetic field so Midas could move. The bot went back to Hiro, perching on his shoulder with a happy hum.

Midas slowly stood, stumbling over to Malcolm, climbing onto his leg, and flopping down. Malcolm petted the bot, snorting in amusement.

“Done for the day?”Malcolm asked. Midas flashed in response. Malcolm snorted again, glancing at Hiro and Bax.

Hiro was petting bax

Bax leaned into Hiro’s hand.

Malcolm considered the pair, then chuckled.

“You told him to use the magnet, didn’t you?”Malcolm guessed.

"mm maybe, maybe not.."

Malcolm snorted in amusement, shaking his head.

“Rascals,”he mused.

hiro chuckled " so old man, whats on your min for today, chicken, pork."

Malcolm shrugged.

“I’m not real picky. Though I have yet to see any form of pig or cow around here. But, I’m not outside much, so there’s that. And we’ve, obviously, got plenty of fucking bird on the roof,”he mentioned.

"well lets go get lunch," he said and stood.
