So, I am a person with very little imagination, lol, who could never dream of making up a language. But anyways, is it okay to use latin words (somtimes twisted or mixed) to name people and places in a fantasy world. Latin is just such a beautiful language and really fits in with fantasy.
For exapmle, there is a small island of healing called the Isle of Sol. Or a city called Terra, where the inhabitants possess the ability to make things grow.
Like is that cheap or kinda cheating?
I mean, we use words in other languages to name things all the time! Isle Delfino, Sahara Desert, Panera Bread, you get the idea. It's not cheap unless you use a word that means the same thing (desert desert and bread bread, for instance).
Okay thanks. Lol, bread bread. That made me laugh more than it should have.
I'm doing the exact same thing, and actually, I need help with that.
Does anyone have a name in English for a partner or spouse, that sounds quite unemotional and cold? I thought of attachment, but I'm not really sure.

Consociate sounds kind of stand offish in my opinion, if that is what you mean
ahhhh, THANK YOU! It's absolutely perfect, just what I was looking for!!!!
