I like how they all vaguely resemble their English counterparts, and I think that'll make it easy for your English-speaking readers. but I don't really know how to help with adding other words? I agree with Riorlyne about the pictographs, though. other than that…..I don't know…….?
Anyone know how to create color into symbols?
Perhaps pictographs of things that represent that colour? Like a leaf for green, a native flower or fruit for yellow, etc.
Not a bad idea! Thanks so much!
I was thinking about that, but then what would you do for more "complex" colors. For example, turquoise, maroon, indian red, ochre, etc.?
Turquoise maybe a wave if you haven't came op with a wave yet.
Maroon a cherry?
You'd probably want more universal symbols. Cherries aren't worldwide. Though, although I wouldn't say oceans are always/often turquoise, the wave symbol is probably best for that.
I haven't gotten to colors, but I'll keep all yall's advice in mind. Thanks again, you guys! I can't say it enough!
Just thought I'd give an update:
so Cyromnean is expanding with colors, family trees, and much more.
Colors will have their own pronunciation. Here are the words so far in order: Vian (vee-on), Zafer (zay-fer), Ula (you-la), emerman, athal (ath-all), vores (vor-ez).
Still searching for grey, white, black, silver, gold, and brown.
Money is expanding as well with chips ($2.5), bits ($10), pieces ($100), and pounds ($500).
I will be creating a complete guide to Cyromnean for those who wish to learn divided into chapters for easy reference. If anyone has any questions, comments, or ideas, please feel free to message me. Thanks so much!
It sounds like the project is going well. I'm looking forward to seeing how you expand upon all that you already have. Keep up the good work!
