Don't just say, we'll see, go out and do it. Like the title of the chat says "you really want to try", you should try them. Even if you do such, still try. I was scared to do photography (as it has been posted earlier) but now, I'm taking a class and I bought my first (semi-)official camera, and, I love it. I enjoy using photoshop and I enjoy doing things I was scared to do, and yeah, there were hobbies that I did for a while and then stopped, like embroidery, but that was one thing, and am I glad that at least I tried.
This goes out to everyone, Don't just say we'll see, go do it, because afterwards, you'll be proud.
Sorry for the rant, but I have seen to many people, including myself, give up on things that they regretted because they wouldn't try. For me, it was photography, but also driving. I didn't get my permit until a lot of people my age and younger were actually driving, but yesterday I got into the car and drove without assistance, and I loved it. So don't give up.
You're right, I should stop putting it off and actually try some new things. Don't worry about ranting–sometimes people like me need to hear it lol. Congrats on driving by yourself, that's a great feeling! ^^
Speaking of seeking to try, I actually found a smithing school in Philly that has programs anywhere from a day to 6 weeks long! I'm also planning on taking metalworking electives in college, but I need to get most of my requirements out of the way first.
Alright, This chat is dead but it is one of my favorite places to post. Happy New-ish Year (When the first month is almost over) But, this year is the year that I will do new things. I will embroider something and mount it on my wall. I will make a corset for Ren Faire, thus fulfilling the ideal of me making my own clothes. I want to take more photos and use the woodshop more. I will plant and attempt to maintain a garden. I will hike and spend more time outside. And this year I will get my license. It is a new year and a new time for hobbies. Also I posted it online and have a lot of witnesses if y'all will even make it this far. This is my declaration and my invitation for all of you to try to do the same.
This chat has been dead for a while but I'm posting because hnnggnghm.
I really want to try photography, scrapbooking, playing the ukelele, and bullet journaling. I mainly want to try these because my family typically goes on vacation at least once every year and they all can kind of tie in with travelling.
I'll be prioritizing playing the uke and photography over the other two because those just feel more important to me lol
I just got into Warhammer. The miniatures look cool and the story is interesting (along with all of the Heresy Memes), but everything's SO DAMN EXPENSIVE. One miniature with paints can cost upwards of $50 and I do not have the excess capital that I can dedicate to building and painting one army, it's ridiculous.
