Okay, I can't listen to the entire soundtrack, ( my big sister is over protective ) and I'm confused. What happens to Laf?

He goes back to France and gets arrested. The actor who plays him comes back in act two to play Jefferson. Also, the content in Hamilton is nothing compared to what plays in the radio where I live. My very protective parents let me listen to it, granted they don’t know about the swearing or Say No To This.

Oh no he gets arrested? And yes I know he comes back as Jef. Why was he arrested?
