Dude, my teacher used my drawing for an example on the story we were reading and was talking about how her outfit resembled how she didn't want to draw attention to her self and so let her clothes do the talking. It made a great resemblance to real life how we let out internet selves do the talking because we don't want to draw attention to our real selves. She also talked about how she didn't have a face because she didn't want to be portrayed as being physically beautiful. I raised my hand and said that-
A) I can't draw faces and
B) I like drawing anime outfits
so all that you just said was a lie. I almost got suspended but it was worth it.
I hate it when teachers do that because they’re taking something that’s expressive and personal and putting it in a box. There are some things that you just can’t decipher, but that’s ok. There doesn’t have to be a reason for everything.

That's honestly wild lmao.
Tbh part of me thinks it would be really hilarious to have someone analyze my stories English teacher style just so I can do this exact kind of thing. Like I would love to have someone tell me why I decided to name my characters Eva only for me to tell them that she's actually just named after a horse.
Some of my names line up super well for analyzation, and others….don't….
Same. I don't really think too much thought into names and kinda just go with ones that I like over ones that have a special meaning that is fitting for that specific character. I do have a few that happen to fit quite well, but it's just a coincidence.
I’ve never really written until I started using Notebook. I’d always think about my characters and their stories, constantly imagining them. When I was recommended this site however, I finally started documenting them and saw who/what they really are! It was pretty cool, so now I stick to doing it. (^-^)

I'm the exact opposite. Every name base a specific meaning which correlates to who they are in the story. It takes me hours to pick my names 😂
