@The Seliph-loving Gryffindor who also loves dragons and cats
I love foreshadowing, it's one of my favorite subjects in stories.

The hunger games Mockingjay book foreshadowing Prim's death, the idea of the trap (bomb once, let the medics swam set off the rest of the bombs) is set up by Gale earlier on in the novel and them comes into play Prim being a medic.
In the Great Gatsby, Jay is seen standing along at his own party while crowds of people don't even know who he is or that he's the host. This foreshadows his funeral where no one shows up.
In the Harry Potter series, Professor Trelawney insists that she sees the Grim in tea leaves and often predicts Harry and other students' deaths. It's seen as hogwash at the time but comes to be fulfilled.
Supernatural. In S2 (I think) the protagonists' mother apologizes to Sam, for something we don't know. He asks, "For what?" Seasons later, we see a younger version of her speaking with a demon. He tells her he'll save her love's life if he can come back for something (he screws up Sam) in a few years. She asks, "For what?" But makes the deal without an answer. This foreshadowing and this parallel is one of those things that makes me angry at the Supernatural writers for being so crafty and good at their jobs.
The entirety of the Prestige. Every moment is foreshadowing. So many little hints. It's a movie you have to see again to understand.
