I want to know what people think about some of the ideas I've had for stories.
Please put the number that corrisponds to the idea with your thoughts. No, I am not looking for comments such as 'I like it'. I want to know WHY you like/dislike the idea(s). I also ask that you do all of them.

1: Psychic teacher teams up with an undercover detective to find and stop the homicidal maniac thats kidnapping and killing his students in horrific ways.

2: Young pyrokinetic teenager is framed for setting fire to his school, and sets out to discover the truth.

3: A forgotten king teams up with the children that he promised to secretly protect to not only end a war, but reclaim his throne as well.

4: Elderly perverted man who is part of a secret organization summons demon, makes a deal with the demon for it to not only act as his son, but kill people (other supernatural creatures, gods, and goddesses) as well. The demon works with a human girl, a hunter, and they unintentionally fall for each other. They also fight against another secret agency.

5: A middle-aged woman returns home to visit her father, who has dementia, at his farm. Upon arriving she meets a farmhand/caretaker, who helps her care for her father. The woman and her father relive some fond and not-so-fond memories which force the woman to remember something horrible that happend to her while she was a child.

6: A husband and father investigates the sudden, tragic deaths of his sister and daughter, all while trying to cope with grief and family life.

7: A man becomes a widower under unexpected mysterious circumstances. Some time later he meets and falls for a woman, whom his children love. Both have mysterious pasts, and one of them plots the death of the other.

8: A story revolving around a family of hitmen/contract killers.

So, what ya'll think?

1: I would really like to see this done with the two of them butting heads constantly. But if the character archs are simply 'they learn to get along' it would be a bit predictable (which some can make that work)… so I would really work with character archs to make this interesting.

2: My interest here is more in what kind of world this takes place in. Magic is normal- the school he burnt down has lots of magical students. Or, in my opinion a more interesting, a modern world as you and I know it, with a few uniquely talented. Either way, I do absolute love when abilities are used for ordinary day to day things - fire used to melt the ice off your car window, heat up your tea instantly, warm up your crush's toes, ect.

3: I don't know if i've heard of something like this, especially if it's much MUCH younger kids. I'd love to see the King as keen on trying to save his kingdom as much as he is trying to round up the kids. maybe age differences would age some interesting scenes. And i'm interested to see what part the kids have to play in reclaiming a throne.

4: Doing romances, no matter how obscure and abstract kinda only keep my interest if the relationship is tested. It would be interesting to see how the nature of a daemon tests the relationship (prone to see the worst in people) and the nature of a hunter tests it (prone to kill evil things maybe a friend of the daemon). At the same time it would be cool to see the two react to normal relationship tests - mother in laws, siblings who don't like the significant other, doesn't like when the other one smokes cause it could 'kill them' bhahaha.

5: Of all of them this one seems a bit less interesting. Still a good set but… unless there is a twist this has been done before. Seems like it could become a romance where the woman discovers her lowest moment and the farmhand is the first/only person to pick up the pieces.

6: Investigating family deaths and coping with grief and life… this is a good start but this feels like a 'how to deal with family death' more than a plot. I think i need more on this before really dishing up.

7: You may not have meant it as such, but when i read this I can picture a very comedic story. Maybe one being kinda clumsy and not meaning to but often creating circumstances that puts the plotter at risk, and the plotter is continuously baffled how the other always seems to sidestep a trap.

8: Again a great start. But i'd like to know what you had in mind for the conflicts. Sister and bother suddenly get the same target? The family suddenly becomes the target of another hitman family?
