Sunset. I’m a night owl and the sunrise always wakes me up too early. :P

Sunsets because I've associated a lot of positive memories with them.
Marching band rehearsals or football games where the sun is setting as we're on the field, casting the sky in front of us in all different kinds of colors, and when it finally fades to a deep cerulean the stadium lights click on.
Studying at home by the window watching everything darken slowly.
Out with friends, needing to be home before dark, saying goodbye, and riding home as the crickets start to sing.
Summer nights, being the only one awake; staying up too late on this damn site, the sunset a distant memory.
Getting so excited for the stars to come out, for the air to cool, for the world to suddenly seem so much more beautiful and intriguing.
Whereas sunrises are just a coffee-filled mystical haze of "oh look, it's morning." I admit, there's a magic to sunrises too, but nothing compares to a sunset and the nighttime that follows.
Sunrise. I'm not a morning person, but I dislike the change from day to night. The night is mysterious and full of darkness… not my thing.
Sunset because in the desert where I live the low light reflects off of every particle of dust and the entire air around you becomes this vivid orange and pink and purple and it's just breathtakingly gorgeous. The temperature is just right, a cozy sort of warmth that envelopes you instead of beating down like it does during the day, or being cold like it is in the morning.
