(This looks very interesting. I think I’m going to stalk as well if you don’t mind)
(hey im ducking out of this one, im not creative enough.)
(Ok, that's fine! Thanks for telling me. @wyvvernn, you're up next!)
(Sorry I’ve been talking so long, I’ll have something up by tomorrow)
(ok cool!)
Yelled one of the almosts, his step-sister, Jade, peeking out of the second story window. Jade was the worst. She carried a shroud of artificiality, from her condescending smirks to her forced laughs.
"I'll be up in a minute," Alex responded, heading through the front door and up the creaking stairs.
As he opened the front door to his dad's apartment, he was submerged in the chaos of daily life. His ears were assaulted by bickering of his step-siblings and the whining of the two cats and the dog. The complete sensory overload of "home" always caused Alex to flee to his room soon after getting back.
Alex slumped into his desk chair and quickly finished the remainder of his home work, finding solace in the conformity of numbers. Shortly after Alex finished with his homework, his dad came into the room.
"How's it going Boo?" said Alex's dad, leaning against the doorframe.
"Ugh, don't' call me that dad," Alex tried ineffectually to shove his dad into the hallway.
"Fine, fine," Alex's dad said, putting his hands in the air, "I just wanted to tell you that dinner was ready."
"I'll be right there," Alex admonished. As soon as his dad left the room he went into a flurry of action, tidying up his desk and shoving his homework in his backpack. Once his room was in order, he turned off the lights and went to dinner.
(Nice! This is exactly the style I was going for. Alright go ahead JustalostM!)
