Star giggled, and edged closer to the other male. "You don't look like dad, your hair isn't even white! I thought all old guys had white hair." He joked, reaching up at the guy's arms. The elder gently lifted Star off of the ground, and rocked him effortlessly in his arms. "I'm different than them, Star. I'm Armin." He whispered, softly. He brought his hand to the young child's face, and suddenly, created a star, out of what seemed to be thin air. Star's body rocked with bewilderment.
"If you ever feel lonely, this is Starzie. Starzie will accompany you through your life, and, if I'm correct, shouldn't be able to die until you do." He told the child, who caressed the floating black star gently. "Starzie, you should thank Armin for making you for me," Star told the creature, teaching it some form of manners. The star turned towards the older man, and seemed to have bowed. "Perfection…" Armin whispered, before letting Star back onto the ground.
Star's glance was cast around the area, his expression lost. "Armin, you know, Sorrel and Akira might be wondering exactly where I'm at right now. I don't think they would want me talking to you this late at night…" He sighed. He looked sadly at the little star that would be set to accompany him during his life. "Your panic skills are late. Disappointing." Armin whispered, as he crouched to get to Star's level. Star backed up a few steps, before realizing the clouds had formed a wall behind him.
Armin noticed the minuscule child's shivers of anticipation. The youngster wasn't just worried about what was happening then, he was looking into the future, planning how to come back from the moment. "Would you like me to walk you back home?" Armin asked. "Sure, of course," Star replied with a stutter. He eyed Armin closely, watching his every moment. Armin graciously straightened back up, and reached a hand out to Star. Star took Armin's hand, and Armin began to walk towards a very bright place.
'This is it, I just died out in that forest, someone mugged me, and my body was destroyed.' Star thought, as he noticed his surroundings disappearing into the light. "Remember, my Star, to always stay in the light, for the dark is unforgiving." Armin said, almost completely soundlessly. Star turned to the side, only to notice that Armin was no longer walking him, it was the star that stayed in his grasp. "Starzie, I hope Armin is okay… He just died, too…" He whispered, eyeing the star in his palm.
Before Star knew it, he couldn't see. His world was very dark, almost perfectly blackened by night. He felt like… no… he knew his eyes had been shut. Was he at the place where dead people go? He opened his eyes, afraid of what he would find. Instead, he woke up in his bedroom, surrounded by only familiar items. Armin was nowhere to be found. "Was it all real, did I really meet my great grandfather?" Star asked, as his eyelids drooped once again. As he fell back asleep, the star in his hands revealed itself, as the only thing that remained of the dream, that had been brought to reality.
