So I've been writing this story and I was thinking about doing multiple POVs. This would let the reader get a sense of what the world is like. It's a dystopian society and there are sort of different Paths a person could end up going down and I wanted to show that. My problem is I've very rarely seen a story with different POVs written in 1st person and with more than 2 POV characters. I want maybe 3 or 4. Also, another problem is that my character's name change throughout the book so I'm not sure if I should put names at the beginning of chapters or if it would all get confusing. If anyone has any advice that would be great!

Hello!!

I haven't seen a writer do more than two 1st person POV, but I've seen them do a crap ton of 3rd person POV, so I think it would be find if you did several in 1st. I would recommend putting names at the start of each chapter or point where the POV changes, and another interesting thing I saw one writer do was color the text of each character's portion differently. So if you have four characters, Susan, Timmy, Johnny, and Megan (example names), you could color the entire text from Susan's POV in a maroon color, Timmy's could all be dark blue, Johnny's could be dark red, and Megan's could be purple. Or just about any color you wanted. This worked incredibly well in a book I read with two 1st person POVs, and it made it easy to flip through and find my place without having to go back and see which charrie I was reading from. I hope this helps. HAPPY WRITING <3

Thank you! I've seen the color one in a book before and I'll defiantly think of doing that! thanks again for the advice

You're very welcome. Also, I love dystopian stories, and I wish you the best of luck. I'm sure it'll be quite epic.
