What is your strongsuit in writing?
What is your weak-point?
What do you like to write about?
What's your writing style like?
Strongsuit: About half of the time I know how to do this thing where you take words and then string them together to make this thing called a sentence
Weak point: Dialogue (sAVE ME)
What I like to write about: Lots of things! Sci-fi, fantasy, a little bit of dystopian, mystery, etc.
Writing style: …bad XD
I don't actually have anything I need help with right now, I was just checking it out, but I'll probably pop in later :)
What is your strongsuit in writing?
Characters. I'm biased but I think all of them are pretty solid.
What is your weak-point?
A lot of my relationships are kinda instalovey, but I'm working on that.
What do you like to write about?
I like to write about characters who go through a lot but keep standing.
What's your writing style like?
Kinda flowery but also kinda straight-up at times?
Seems legit, what would you like to improve on dear?
Everything because I'm not good at writing
Beginnings, mostly. I always see people talking about how hard endings and middles are, but for me, beginnings are the hardest.
Beginnings are rather hard. See, I think you don't start where the character begins, you start about 1/5s into the story. If prior information is needed to be told in something other then past references, then start where the information is most prominent.
Well, it's always good to start off with a hook, I also have the same problem starting off with Beginnings. Sometimes it's hard to decide where to place it, when to place it. How to draw attention to what's happening. I think the best tips I can give you AR to decide when and where would have the most impact and serve the plot the most. If you feel as if you're beginning is too cringey, drop a little bit of mysterious exposition to make the person want to read more into your story to find out. Don't Exposition dump as soon as you start though, it's all about finding a healthy balance. Everybody's always complaining about the notorious"exposition dump" that happens at the beginning of all stories. Most importantly, write for yourself.
