So I'm writing a found family story (comic format) about a young man named Adrien, who is the caretaker of a cemetery and landlord of the ghosts who reside on the property. I'm calling it Lavender House (because of the purple monochromatic coloring of the comic and the distinctive house on the cemetery where Adrien and the ghosts live).

I thought this was a perfect title until my brother pointed out a connection to what should've been obvious- Lavender Town from Pokemon (another ghost-themed storyline). This was completely unintentional, but I understand how some would make that connection. However, I'm kinda attached to the title and I even if I wanted to change it, I don't know what I would change it to. But I also don't want people thinking I'm ripping off Pokemon or something. Help?

Personally, I don’t think it’s anything close to a rip off. In fact, it’s almost kind of funny, as a sort of connection to be made? If you’re looking for a new title though, find other colors that match the colors used, and see if that fixes anything when it comes to titles!

As someone who is a die hard pokemon fan, I didn't see the connection until you pointed it out. I think you'll be fine with the name, your concept sounds very cool ^_^

If anything, there should be a joke in there about Lavender Town. Maybe some new arrival is this kid who always played Pokemon Yellow and is excited that "I'm now a Ghost-Type! This is SWEET!" Gary Oak-isms are also appreciated.
