Hey, guys! So I'm doing a project in my Environmental Class and we need an idea for an idea about environmental issues regarding schools. We need something that we can create solutions for and actually implement it. We've been thinking about some ideas, but my teammates and I are coming out blank.
Help a fellow writer out?
healthier cafeteria food?
This isn't just schools really but still a idea: Maybe we can stop using as much cement to make up our buildings, or use better options for the environment if we need to use cement.
healthier cafeteria food?
That idea has already been taken. We were thinking of using the idea of eliminating wooden desks (because of how much wood is used and the pollution that's produced), but our teacher has been hesitant in accepting it.
hmmmmmm…….
greener buses?
hmmmmmm…….
greener buses?
We need something that we can actually work it. It needs to have solutions. We need to find a problem, suggest a solution and create a report on it on how to fix it.

well you could see if there's a way to mass transport students in a way that doesn't involve gasoline??
- Greener light fixtures in schools
- Using school AC more efficiently
- Placing recycling bins next to trashcans in schools and teaching students what to recycle (no one ever told me how that stuff works, and I'm sure it's the case for a lot of people)
- Minimizing paper usage where possible
- Something to do with lab materials and their disposal (because honestly washing chemicals down the sink in a public school is super sketchy… There's definitely more to it.)
- Placing hand dryers in restrooms instead of paper towels
Hopefully you see something on this list that might be helpful. If not, I'm sure I can think of more.
