" Happy?" She asked

"Very, mostly because my princess is here. And she's trusting me." He whispered, a goofy grin on his lips.

" I've always trusted you I just don't want to rely on you" she said

"It's just nice to know you trust me." He chuckled, pulling away.

She smiled and pecked him quickly pulling away before he could react.

He chuckled, and sat down in his seat from before. He flipped open his notebook sliding it over to her. "This look right for your schedule?"

" have you been spying on me" she asked looking at him from the notebook

"I don't like calling it that, but 'yes'." He said using air quotes as he spoke.

". That's really creepy Brad" she said sliding the notebook back to him

"I know, I'm sorry, but I couldn't ever catch you outside of school, and I couldn't text you. If Felix went through your phone, he would know." He sighed, rubbing his face.

" I was never with Felix but why do you need my schedule" she asked

"To figure out how to kidnap you? Remember?" He asked raising his eyebrow. "Sorry, ehm, 'kidnap' you." He said with air quotes once more.

" oh I thought you were teasing" she said

"Do you not want me to? That's why I've been so busy." He told her, sliding the notebook away from both of them.

" oh well it's just that I've just been really busy don't get me wrong I love being with you but with balancing the newspaper and my fighting and my friends and my boyfriend it gets a little tiring' she said

"What's that suppose to mean?" He asked raising an eyebrow, and ripping the few pages out.

" oh nothing…I'm just saying don't spend all your time on me" she said

"I'm not, I've had other things too. But it's taken up a majority of my time is all." He shrugged, crumpling up the paper. "No big deal though. Time worth spent."

Caroline felt bad and she got off the table avoiding his eyes " I should probably get going" she said

"If you're leaving because you think I'm upset, you don't have to." He said smiling up to her. "I'm OK."

" Thank you for fixing me up" she said heading for the door

"Wait, princess come back." He said getting up and coming up next to her.

" I really should go" she said again

"I just want a kiss, that's all." He smiled gently, cupping her cheek. "And then you can go."

She kissed him quickly not giving him time to return it "bye" she said and walked out
