I've been designing and planning out my book for quite a long time, but I've been hit with Writers Block for what seems like eons. I've finally gotten a possible start to my story, but I'm overthinking it and need some opinions about it. I can take anything, so if you read it and think its trash, tell me. I don't want to write a trash book.

Uuh, there's a bit of a road block now.
To access your Google doc, I need to send you a "request" by email to read it, but I don't really want to just email a stranger, if you know what I mean.. gosh, I'm sorry. I really wanted to read it.

@savannahBietz - you need to click 'share' on your Google doc (this button's in the top right), choose "get shareable link" on the dialogue box that pops up and change the settings to "everyone with the link can view" (or you could change it to "everyone with the link can comment" if you want people's suggestions to appear inline). Then share that link here. :)

@savannah Bietz - at the moment you have it set to "everyone with the link can edit" so I would make sure you either change that or save your work in another file, just in case of accidents.

I think it needs a bit of editing here and there. Just reading it over or reading it out loud to yourself or something can do a lot of help, at least for me. There are just little things: lack of commas here and there, slight run on sentences, etc. But overall, it's really good, at least to me! It totally looks a book I'd want to read so far. Good job!

Oh, I'm so glad it worked! Well, thank you. I don't have a chapter two yet, like I said I've been having major writers block recently, which is also why the spelling and grammar isn't perfect because its a mishmash of random thoughts from recently and not so recently.
Yeah, writer block is the worst! And I get it - my first drafts often have really bad grammar and need MAJOR editing because I’m just scribbling now down the words before I forget them!

It really is. I made excuses for it during college saying I was just too busy to work on anything but school work, but now over the summer I've realized I've just been out of it for a long time and made excuses. If I was able to continue my work would you be interested in continuing to read it?
