He thinks the Ruling House are all idiots, oathbreakers and tyrants. The middle one is somewhat justified…

@InstaOnly

Neat! I love stories where the villain could be the hero if told differently from his perspective, and your story sounds like one where that would work. I think your story and characters are really cool!

@HighPockets group

Yeah, sort of just skimmed for the basics and then I'll go back and format it better later, really just working on getting the story down first. I love origin stories, secrets, plot twists, betrayal, etc. so I make sure to put in the story even if just a bit. Also I almost picked up a copy of MacBeth by Shakespeare awhile back just because it was something I've wanted to see but my family doesn't really go to theaters or anything. I have only the first two scenes down or something and have been keeping track of everything else through back stories or docs lol

HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! DON'T SAY HIS NAME!!!!!

The one that starts with 'M' and ends with 'H'. Technically it's only a rule in theatre, but if all the world's a stage….

Is he a villain or is it just a really bad play? I'm confused now XD

It's just a superstition. It's supposed to be a really good play, I just haven't had the time to read it.

@InstaOnly

What's the superstition? Now I'm curious instead of confused lol

@HighPockets group

I honestly don't know, my friend told me and that's why in 'Take A Break' Hamilton's line "They think me M*cbeth, ambition is my folly' is so surprising to theatre people, especially since it's such a massively popular show!

William Shakespeare's play Macbeth is said to be cursed, so actors avoid saying its name when in the theatre (the euphemism "The Scottish Play" is used instead). Actors also avoid even quoting the lines from Macbeth before performances, particularly the Witches' incantations. Outside a theatre and after a performance, the play can be spoken of openly. If an actor speaks the name "Macbeth" in a theatre prior to one of the performances, they are required to perform a ritual to remove the curse. The ritual may vary according to local custom: one is to leave the theatre building, or at least the room occupied when the name was mentioned, spin around three times, spit, curse, and then knock to be allowed back in. This particular iteration of the ritual is documented in the play The Dresser and its film adaptations.

One version of this legend claims that it was the actor who played Lady Macbeth who died during the play's first production run and that Shakespeare himself had to assume the role. There is no evidence that this legend is factual.

Found this when I searched about it, if you're superstitious we're fine as long as you're not in a theatre. Also we're typing it not speaking…

@InstaOnly

I'm bored……………….. Want to know a random fact? It has to do with why I even wanted to see or read about the play.

@InstaOnly

MacBeth is a sub-branch of a clan in my family line the MacBeans. One of nine sub-branches, with a motto meaning "Don't touch a cat without a shield". Found that out through some passed down family records and a bit of research so I've been wanting to see the play now even if I'm not a part of that branch
