forum Little help drumming up an idea for a curse?

I’m currently creating this character that’s been cursed by a god(ddess?) of marriage. The only problem is that I have no idea what a curse from this type of god would entail.

Infertility and ugliness are the only things I can think of, but those are out.

Thoughts?

Cursed to remain single forever
Cursed to die if kissed (the opposite of all the fairy tales)
Cursed for everyone they fall in love with to die/get some horrible disease
A good marriage requires good communication, so maybe cursed to be deaf or mute

How powerful do you want the curse to be?

Dang, someone already commented all these good ideas.
Could also b as simple as marriages never work out/they never fall in love w the right person?

Curse to never be able to love someone, even if it's platonic/friendship type love?

That actually makes my character’s ambitions make more sense.

• Cursed to ruin the lives of anyone they get close to - i.e. they are orphaned early on, they develop a crush on someone only for them to drop dead a few days later
• The other way around - anyone who gets close to them is ruined
• Cursed to be amazing at certain things but that only alienates them from others
• Cursed to never die
