Hey! I'm writing about these highschoolers having to go on a quest to save their world, blah, blah. it's pretty cliche. However, at this point in my story I'm completely stuck. I have no idea how to transition from them preparing for the quest to them actually being on the quest. Should I try to have them finding their own way? Or should I have the place they are helping take them to where they need to be, even thought it's wayyy more boring? I just can't think of any good way to take them where they need to be. I know this isn't an quick fix, but any help is welcome!! Thanks!! :D
Is there any way that you could jumpstart the dangerous stuff in your quest? That’s what I did tbh, because my story had slowed down a bit, so I just had them get attacked…. it was a way to transition while also keeping it interesting, you know?
Just an idea.
I agree with @TurtleOfFreedom, the best way would be to just throw them right into the danger, it makes it much more exciting

Thanks! This really helped me, actually, 'cause I know what I'm finally doing, and I'm gonna throw them right into a fight, like you said lol. Again, thanks for the help!!
