I am trying to start a kind of fantasy kind of distopian book. I need to create an almost post war version of earth. It has tech but is not tech reliant like you could say about us now… that s pretty much it. For more maybe send a message?

For tips on creating this post-war version of earth, think about what stayed the same, what changed, and what disappeared completely after the war. Here are some questions to get you thinking.

• Earth's geography and climate: is it roughly the same as now, or did the war mess things up?
• Geopolitical borders: do old countries exist, did any merge, did any get taken over completely and now no longer exist? Think about who sided with who during the war, and more importantly, who won, and why. The winners will likely have more say in what the post-war Earth looks like.
• Technology: do they have any of the same technology we have now? Do they have upgraded (or downgraded) versions of stuff we have? Do they have any new technologies? How do they use them?
• Dystopia: in what way did trying to make things better actually make them worse? Who's in charge now?
