How could you use magic in a scifi setting and not make it magic? Something numenera like where magic is just super advanced tech

There's really basic stuff like holograms or levitation devices, voice recognition or face recognition type things. If you're looking more advanced, possibly teleportation stations where you can move things or people from one place to the next or types of technology/chips you can swallow to gain different abilities.

In the world of numenera this super advanced tech is treated like magic because people forgot how it works. So its not like star trek advanced more "Any sufficiently advanced technology is magic" kinda stuff. Some kinda quantum field trickery that allows fireballs

If it's sci-fi, then the magic has to be technology based. So not only do you have to make it realistic (which should be easy for a story builder), but you also have to give a reason on why it's possible.
