@Paperok
Advice? how would you do it?
Advice? how would you do it?
I make a bulleted list of everything that I need to happen in the novel
and then I use a google sheet (bc you can insert columns and rows and all that jazz)
and I organize the events
and if I need to add one in I go insert a column at the right place
Hm I've never made a timeline before
I'm trying to be a more organized writer lol
but you know I also sometimes make the timeline as I go
or I make it after I finish the first draft then use it for reference for future drafts
or you know, sequels if I'm writing them
I use the scenes one here
Oh, I don't mean an outline, I mean like a history of events preceding the novel that put all the characters where they are at the beginning
Bullet points
yeah just bullet points
I actually do all my backstories in my head most of the time lol (like I said, I'm working on being more organized)
sometimes I figure things out 3/4 of the way through a project and I gotta go reread/write a bunch of stuff to make sure it's all consistent with my newfound knowledge of my country's history
Alright, Bullet points it is, thanks, guys.
Anytime!
That's what we're here for!
Help with writing plot? I'm writing about normalized magic in modern society but can't figure out how to incorporate a storyline.
Well a good place to start would be: what or who is your story about?
