I have created a world that mirrors ours in a way. In my story, there was one world, full of magic, until war broke out between those who drew energy from the water and those who drew energy from the Earth. Then the twin princesses (one water, one Earth) decide to save the world from destruction by separating the two into separate worlds. Ours, Terra (Earth) and theirs, Tali (water). Separating the powers has eliminated magic, so Terra advanced with things from Earth like, metal, electricity, fire, etc. They advanced more with water based electricity, plants/herbs, the moon and nature. There is some overlap between the worlds, but not a lot. They live in seemingly primitive kingdoms almost like medieval times, but in many ways are more advanced than us.

My question is… What would the climate be like there? Our world is mostly made of water. Should it be the opposite? I feel that would be difficult to explain their advancements. Or exactly like ours? :/

Well for the Earth area it depends of what kinda of vision you have. If you see it being just a lot of forests and almost like the woods you see in North America then it wouldn't be very hot or humid. Probably very neutral temperature. If you see it as more of a rain forest then it would be very humid.

As for the Water area it is there same thing. It all really depends if you see it as like a "beach getaway" look or like Hawaii or Spain for an example. If not then the land it does have could be very rock and dangerous, maybe they live underwater like an Atlantis situation.
