So I discovered the one big piece missing from my story's plot and now everything is just clicking together and I feel like that one meme with the galaxy brain. I guess I'll find out tomorrow if it's the best thing ever or just a terrible sleep/caffeine ratio, but either way I'm actually motivated to write!

^ Honestly, I have yet to have that feeling…. Hopefully very very soon, tho.

So after I took, like, a two hour nap today, I woke up and my brother stopped by with a belated birthday present that he said was gonna come late. There's a long story behind the shirt he got me (well, kinda) and long story short I'm so happy I got it! I have something else coming, in late July early August, so I have a LONG time to wait for it, but judging what he gave me, I honestly can't wait!!! :DDDDDDDD

I've been very productive in making my room look nice! I sewed a new bible cover, hung my mezuzah (yes, it's made of legos lol), and made a bunch of paper roses to fill my vases and bottles, and decorate my radio

We have marching band leadership training tomorrow which I'm a little scared about, but marching band actually starts on Monday (it's weird with corona and I'm kind of freaking out about that too but I'm also excited). And I texted a sort of friend about it and we're being awkward together and trying to figure out what to do when we get there. Here's hoping I don't take a wrong turn to get to school again

i'm gonna be obnoxiously stoked on myself for a second because just had SUCH a good meeting with my faculty mentor!!! i've been nervous about my project because it all feels so nebulous and complicated sometimes but he told me i was doing amazing and innovative work and that i'm clearly very excited about it and that i've been very thoughtful and that he admires that i'm forming my own new critical vocabulary like hey you guys ever heard of the dichotomy between performative and constative violence?? or the voyeur narrative in new queer cinema??? no???? that's because i COINED them baby!!!!!! ugh i'm so happy i feel less anxious than i have in at least a month

I was at Epic today (10/10 recommend next time anyone's in Wisco) and found a nice wooden stage, so I did four monologues on it. It was super fun and I really want to perform at an outdoor theatre now lol

so, im actually really happy right now- better then i have been this past month and i guess it's due to receiving something i was waiting for, for a long time

I had a job interview today and I was super nervous but I actually think it went over really well. The last interview I had didn't really go well, so I was worried that would happen again. I'm really hoping I get the job, but even if I don't at least I can say I didn't completely bomb the interview this time.

Bumping this thread bc I have some things I'm super excited about.

First, my younger sister asked me to be a maid of honour at her wedding! I knew I'd be in the wedding party, but tbh I was kind of just expecting to be a bridesmaid. There's going to be like 11 bridesmaids or something like that so my other sister is also going to be a maid of honour.

And speaking of my other sister, I'm going to be an aunt! I've actually known about this for a while but I'm super happy for my sister and her husband, and I'm so excited to be an aunt!

I managed to finish a whole bunch of Warhammer models that I bought recently! I now have a squad of Terminators, a group of Aggressors, and three HUGE CENTURION BOIS all put together and primed. I'm just waiting on one more pot of paint to come in before I get started on painting everything. My Salamander army is off to a fantastic start!

I haven’t been wearing my braces for very long but I’m already noticing that my one of my teeth has sort of begun to move!

It was one of my first (late) adult teeth, but because of how the baby tooth root didn’t go away, and how the adult tooth came in behind, it was crooked. I’ve had to deal with looking at a crooked tooth every time I go in the mirror, so I’m quite happy by this news.

The two upsides to have braces are cleanliness and cosmetics, I'm glad you're noticing both

oK i mEAn after they're off, for most people. If you have crowded teeth, braces lining them up and seperating them will make it easier to floss and stuff. But yeah while they're on it's usually not super clean lol.

i'm applying for a job!! and while i might not get it, i'm really hopeful
