Let me just say that I had to reread my first ever novel (I was ten) to get a grip of what little characterization there was for my OC and it was almost physically painful

oh god, that sounds physically painful. I know when I found a bunch of my old notebooks and read through some of the stuff I had no choice but to immediately throw them in the trash lol

The thing was that the other short stories I wrote with prompts for school at that time were actually really creative and funny. It was just when I tried writing an actual book it all kind of fell apart in my hands.

yeah literally all my writing was painful and cringey from early middle school back

so I finished my disaster of a fic https://www.wattpad.com/story/150521605-ethereal it's about 7000 words so please don't shoot me because I tried my best to minimize it as much as I could

yeah google docs tends to do that when someone's looking at your doc. not sure why it does that tbh

yeah I've been having internet issues myself so I made it two weeks instead of just one just to be sure

the internet went out for my whole town yesterday, you're not alone

oof, mine's just been really bad because we live in a place that gets really bad wifi

oh lol my mom has an app where she can turn off the wifi on people's devices so she can get everyone to do housework to get it back and she forgot to turn mine back on when i did my stuff :P
