So yeah I came up with this dumb theory today
Perhaps (American) school lunches generally aren't great quality because the government wants us to spend money at restaurants, keeping the economy going. If we are conditioned to eat food that doesn't taste great, we would appreciate other food sources more, prompting us to keep returning to the restaurants and buying their food.
Let me just say that there is never a dull topic with you around, Bison.
On the contrary, I would think it is ruining the economy. Even with your take on it, this system is targetting the poor and middle-class clients, while the richer clients are so used to their fancy school lunches that they don't really care about fast food. So if the rich aren't interested, then that means a large portion of the Market Economy is being unused, therefore not stimulating the economy and thereby ruining it.
