Just a random question,
But, why do you like to write?

I kind of have to. Otherwise I have too many ideas in my head and I get overwhelmed. I harass myself into getting stuff down.
Who else can write the vague idea that isn't right when someone else does it?
I actually don't enjoy writing that much. I tend to like things that I'm good at, and writing isn't one of them. What I do enjoy, however, is making characters and worlds. I love to create characters with distinct personalities and make them real deep, and I love to see how they would react to other characters that I create. I also adore world building and I'd say that I'm pretty good at it. So for me it's less about writing and more about doing literally everything else other than writing.
Who needs actually crying when you can just cry with words?

I think that's like my sister…she doesn't really like to write. But she loves creating stories in her mind.
Not every wold within books I read is what I want to see, so I made my own world for escape! And then I got bored between books… sooo….
Now I have characters! And plot! And Never ending overly complex ideas to go with it!
@WereWolfy, that's what a lot of writers write for, for an escape from real life. I feel like I decided I wanted to be a writer, some time ago, and just stuck with it. I'm not sure if I actually do want to be a writer.

Yeah, right now it's kinda half and half between constant boredom, not enough time to read, and need for an escape.
I have too many ideas, they have to go somewhere.
It's either write or lay on my bed listening to music and cry so I choose to write.
I like to write to get known… have a fandom of my own…
Selfish, I know…
i like to write because it lets me express things with others without having to vocalize my inner thoughts since i've always had a hard time communicating my emotions to other people. it also lets me talk about issues i would normally feel as if i have no say in (like politics and stuff), which also ties into my difficulties with open communication.
(It's not selfish. It's normal.)
It's fun and, at times, challenging!
@SupernaturalSyGuyEdt , that is so true!
I enjoy things that I get mental exercise from! 🙂
One word. Insomnia. Writing is just one of the many things I do when I can't sleep. Also, when I don't sleep, I think a lot, writing is a way to express what I am thinking and feeling and putting it on paper so it doesn't cloud up my brain.
