I don’t really consider myself a writer, and I’m curious who all likes making worlds but not necessarily writing novels about them. I’m an Illustration student and I’ve always loved making characters but recently I started making worlds for them as well. It’s really fun and helps give my characters more depth. I’d love to make comics about them too eventually.
I completely understand what you mean. Some of my art friends are like that. I'm a writer personally, but I can see where you're coming from. That's how I get my characters sometimes. Comics would be really cool. I wanted to do that once, but I'm better with words than art. Maybe one day, you could make a whole graphic novel.
I'm in the same boat pretty much. I don't write stories much, but I have notebooks filled with ideas and detailed descriptions of characters, the world they live in, abilities, and any and every miscellaneous related thing I can think of. Most of my ideas for stories come to me via dream sequences, so it would be easier for me to express my stories visually through like comics or animation rather than writing a book. I'm also an artist so maybe that has something to do with me perceiving my stories visually with pictures and scenes rather than descriptions through words.
I’m not a writer, but I enjoy drawing different people and coming up with names, histories, personalities, relationships, abilities, etc. for them. I have tried drawing short comic-ish things because I love coming up with story ideas (I’m just not very good at writing), but I find drawing the background to be tedious. I have been slowly adding the people I have already drawn and started to come up with more ideas to develop them
I'm not at all good with words. I don't write for fun on my own, but I'm using notebook to organize the setting for my dnd game that I run. Played right, dnd is just like writing short stories with a group of friends, and this helps me give players information about the setting that I don't feel able to organically address in playing.
My sister is actually more the writer than me (despite the fact that i have my own story in development). I'm helping her develop the worlds her stories take place in.
I’m not a writer, I’m a describer.
I can describe anything about my world, but I can’t write a book or dialogue.
@Chronicle you should try role play! That could help you with novelization.
I'm not quite sure what I am. I write, but it's a looser form of writing because I'm making a D&D campaign. I can paint the past and the future, but not the present. That responsibility belongs to my players.
Idk if im a writer, but im really good at drawing
Same, I don't consider myself a writer. I'm more of a reader and a big fan of everything about music.
do you know HAMILTON?
I heard about it, but I haven't listened to it. Heard it's really good though! I like playing the guitar and piano, and I'd love to learn any other instruments on the way!
