I've been stuck in a creative block for a long time now, and struggle with getting out of these so called blocks; I can't seem to come up with ideas for my stories, rps, nor drawing ideas. As a result, I want to ask how y'all get out of these creative blocks, and what helps you get out of them.
Read. Read a lot. Dive more in depth into your characters. Make them Pinterest boards, mood boards, aesthetics, etc.
That doesn't work for me though….
Try http://cerey.github.io/fighters-block/ (Though it may not work for some people because it can be stressful) It helped when I was in writers block because it just challenges you just to write something.
I usually find great inspiration from rewatching episodes of my favorite show, you notice things the second or third time around that you don’t see the first, and they kinda spark something for me.
I like to read fanfiction or listen to music to get my brain going. Sometimes ill make myself analyze something like a book or movie and go super deep and force myself to make as many connections as I can and sometimes that can give me ideas on where to go for my story.
if you are stuck on a scene because you don't know what should happen next and you feel you understand your characters pretty well, list what DEFINITELY WOULDN'T happen next. listing how characters wouldn't respond can help you understand what definitely would and which endings are slightly out of character.
