Hey fam!
I have had knee problems for over a year now that result in me wearing a brace and icing/applying heat to it. On Tuesday (today is Friday) I went to the doctor and got x-rays done, and we found out that there's a hole in my knee cartilage. If you want details, just ask.
I am scheduled to get an MRI on Monday and I am slightly nervous due to the noises I've heard about. I want to know how loud it is and if there are any that may jumpscare me, because I am easily alarmed by random noises– especially if they're loud. Also, will I, like, feel anything? And how do you stay entertained during it? Mine is supposed to last 45 minutes, and I am truly not one of those people who can just lay there casually for that long without doing anything.
Kkkkkkk so my dad is a radiologist so I GOT THIS QUESTION K LET ME GO ASK HIM RIGHT NOW
Okay so he walked me through it and showed me this website

It’s pretty neat. I think it answers the questions you have.
And, no, you won’t feel anything (maybe some numbness in your leg because of the magnets) but since it isn’t radiation you won’t feel any pain. The only discomfort you MIGHT feel is if they give you an injection of dye for MRI contrast.
The video is kinda terrifying I wouldn’t suggest watching it.
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is actually my favorite!
I owe you!
👉🏻😎👉🏻 Good look at the MRI, m8!
Okay, I see the thumbnail for the video and I really want to watch it XD

I've had both an MRI and a CT scan in the past. I don't remember the MRI that much because it was like back in 2009, but the CT scan was just 2 years ago and it's kinda similar.
I want to know how loud it is and if there are any that may jumpscare me, because I am easily alarmed by random noises– especially if they're loud.
I remember when I had my MRI they gave me noise cancelling headphones. I'm not really too bothered by loud noises most of the time, but I don't remember the MRI being that bad.
Also, will I, like, feel anything?
You shouldn't
And how do you stay entertained during it
For me in like any given situation where I need to stay entertained but don't have anything to entertain myself with I usually just think about my stories and characters and play out scenes in my head. It gets kinda boring still, but at least that's usually better than just lying in there for 45 minutes wondering how much time is left.
For my CT scan though I was given some pain medications that made me kinda drowsy. They told me to try and keep still while I was in there and I was just like "I'm just gonna sleep then."
Thanks!!! Very helpful!!!
