I'm a huge name nerd and I was curious about everyone's favorite male, female, and unisex names! They don't necessarily have to be ones you use in your writing; they could just as easily be ones you hope to name your child (or HAVE named your child)!
I'm impartial to Latin/Roman and Greek names, as well as some French ones! I also like old-timey names that don't have that "geezer" ring to them.
My favorite female names are as follows:
- Annabelle (nn. Bella)
- Coralie (nn. Cora)
- Charlotte
- Cressida
- Eulalie (nn. Eulie)
- Fauna
- Laverna
- Leandra
- Odette
- Violetta
I also love the use of double-names, especially with "Marie" or "Mae". Floral names are also pretty, but it really depends on the flower or plant!
My favorite male names are as follows:
- Bennett
- Brian
- Camden
- Cameron
- Carter
- Elias
- Fletcher
- Justice/Justus
- Tucker
… aaand so forth!
I love the names Nikki, Zed, and Neve. I've also noticed that my go to name for a new character is some variation of May.

I love the name May, but I prefer it in the form "Mae". For some reason, most names ending in "Y" seem a little incomplete to me, and I'm not sure why! I tend to adore names that start with the letter "C" for some reason as well!
I have always loved the name Quinn, page and lucy.
@breerosiey Understandable.
Nyco, Alex, Fayenne, Nathaniel… everything that's extraordinary
I adore the names Ash, Rika, Kylo, and Axel.
Some of my favorites are Annette, Scarlett or Scar, Athena and James
I really like the names Felix and Elliot or Ellie for short
I always struggle with names, so I have a friend help me, but I love Elliot, Darian, Quinn, Emiline, I especially love characters with names that can be shortened because it's always cute when other characters give them nicknames
Yeah especially the two love birds
I personally love Basque names, they have something special on them that makes them look cool. For girls I really like Kattalin which translated in English would be Katherine and for boys I like Eder, which means beauty.
I'm a sucker for biblical names (Benjamin, Ezra, Bartholomew, etc) and some others like Acelyn, Damien, and Alejandra. And Tom, though I'd never name a protagonist such a common name lol
I love unusual names that you don't hear every day, like Rhys, or Acelynn. Also names that start with weird letters like Veda, Zella, Quinn, or Farah. Just really unusual names. And color names like Cerulean, Azure, Saffron.

I've always loved the name Calypso, if I ever have a daughter that's what I'll name her! Other than that I tend to like taking other words and using them as names, like Kyrielle (a type of poem) or Lotus.
