I pull loose eyelashes out when I'm bored. I probably shouldn't, because my eyelashes are short and few in numbers so I need as many as I can get, but I do it anyway.

Why did I post this? Because I'm supposed to be writing an essay for Biology.

@cami

that could be a sign of trichotillomania (hair-pulling) which is caused by anxiety (i have dermatillomania, which is skin-picking).

I actually didn't know that it was caused by anxiety but thank you (and yes, anxiety and depression are definitely not fun. Neither is BPD)

@HighPockets group

If you’re ever feeling down, look up quotes by Carrie Fisher. That always helps me when I’m depressed, wether her quote I should a mental illness one or just something sarcastic and pure Carrie.

@hopelessromantic

Focus on your essay! It'll count later on! I'm a big procrastinator, (lol I have a math test tomorrow and I'm horrible at math and here I am telling you to focus….) anyways, just do it. Give yourself a reward when you finish.
Also, if you don't need the internet, there's this app thing that will block it for like an hour or so. I think it's called StayFocused. You could also listen to classical music if you don't mind it. It's supposed to help you focus and study well.

Goodluck on your paper! You can do it!

@Jesenbear research shows that if you always work or sleep etc. in the same place then your brain sort of relates that place to the activity e.g. it relates your bedroom to sleeping or your math classroom to doing math work. This is why you find (or at least some people find) that it's easier to focus on work at school than at home because your brain relates being at home to relaxing (or whatever it is that you do at home) and it relates school to working and learning. It's not just with places, either—if you always listen to the same song/handful of songs while studying or doing math etc. then eventually it will help you focus better, once your brain gets used to it and makes that connection. Classical music is really good for this, as @hopelessromantic said. Good luck with your essay!
